I really really hope with the club in shambles that Bustos isn’t the only player they have something firm on.
The CPL site has an article saying he's just taking part in the last 4 training sessions happening this week. Not a massive deal.
I imagine if he does well this week it'll just lead to an invite to the training camp and they'll go from there.
Are we in a shambles? I don't know, I always think of shambles as being completely hopeless in all respects.
Like, we got issues
&
we have some pretty decent players too
I think we need 6 starters
GK
CB1
CB2
DM
RB (assuming Richie leaving)
CF
+ 1 CM if Oso leaves
I know a lot of people on here think Kaye is useless but he ain't going anywhere & has been a serviceable #8 in the past.
It's a lot to bring in - especially 2 CBs. But its not a complete makeover.
^Well, if Miami really is bringing in Messi, Pozo is available…

Bill Manning says that they are going for a third DP, but the third DP is going to be considerably cheaper than the first two.

I wonder if the failure of the recently signed academy players as starters will allow the possibility of using the leagues “under 22 initiative” at TFC. Previously, I think it was taboo. A perceived message to our academy youth that there was no place for them in the first team.
At any rate, we will still have quite a few of our kids on the roster.
I think you're being too quick to judge CPL.
Remember, this is a league that has beaten MLS teams in the Canadian Championships in the past.
Forge has also done respectably in the CCL. I'd rather have Forge's coach of BB.
It's still early days in the league and I'm sure a lot of people had similar thoughts about MLS when it started.
It doesn't serve anyone if the league doesn't do well as far as Canadian soccer goes. But do I think (or should) be nothing more than a feeder league to MLS, certainly not.
Of course, only time will tell.

Dude is a real joker...
So it is either a known forward quantity of proven quality?
That could play/adapt into- key- whatever style of interaction you would define Lolo, Fede and Mimmo have...
(By the way Oso- fingers crossed- IMHO fits well into that... whatever that is...)
A somewhat younger Kei Kamara esque or Romell Quioto like baller?
Or
U22 South American similar to the pre-Belotti... Belotti that Josef Martinez was.
Or an inexpensive striker instead of LW version of Napoli's Kvara from 'East' Eastern Europe?

My point of contention with Larin is his hold up play is almost as mediocre as JJ. the best football he’s played in his club was as a FW crashing the box while a target man next to him took up the space. He plays great for Canada centrally but he also has two exceptionally fast wide players who occupy defenders and create counter attacking scenarios all the time.
Let’s find someone who can hold up the ball and bullies people in the box. That’s what we need to balance out the two Italians out wide.
Here is how LAFC and Philly have built their teams.

What gives me pause,
What creates some concern and doubt in relation to that LAFC starting lineup and in regards to TFC,
Is that, IIRC, MB was involved in/with 'fielding' about 5 of those 11 footballers?
Moreover, IIUC, their roster currently has retained around 50% of the footballers he coached.
Ergo, it may be suggested with caution and argued that MB got them only half the way there.
Very interesting to see. I was reading some of the comments too and they pointed out just how little both teams spent on the defence. Yet the union managed to have one of the best defensive records we have ever seen. Also only team to go unbeaten at home this season. So not saying they are not valuable for what they are worth but defensive DP probably isn't the way to go in this league just yet. (at least I don't see it that way)
Getting two of the best defenders in MLS in Jack Elliott as a 4th round in the Super Draft and Kai Wagner from the German 3rd division is either incredible scouting or incredible luck. More likely a combination of both. I notice neither seem to give a second thought to nationalities when it comes to players which seems to be something our front office puts first and foremost lately.
Nelson, Akinola, and, most importantly, Osorio, are on the Canada list for the Bahrain game November 11.

^What is interesting about that roster, is that about half of those footballers seem to share a connect, past or present, with TFC!

Anyone see seba's IG
Announcement tomorrow .
Red flare in picture, laryea and others commenting.
Is he free to sign with any MLS team?
Will he brought on as a coach ? Lol
Richie, Atiba, and Alistair all commented (Plus Petrillo and Wheeler). I think it's most likely a World Cup related announcement. The #OursToTake also seems like it could be World Cup related. Might try to tap into the local Italian market to get them to support Canada at the World Cup since Gio is basically an honorary Canadian at this point.
Also, Shaff's move to Nashville is done.
