    Angry 2023 SSH Renewal

    Here we go ...

Day 1 SSH - Light Greys in lower 104 and 111 - $633 per seat - compared to last season $473 per seat.

Complete and utter BS considering the season we've just had and seriously now considering dropping seats and just picking up singles when I need them.

That's up almost as much percentage wise as a bag of apples. I think they've misjudged the market.

The only issue with dropping SSH tickets are if TFC makes the playoffs you'll only be able to buy playoff tickets from scalpers paying through the nose, particularly if TFC goes far.

Well this is the first time I'm actually going to have to think about renewing rather than just letting it roll.

EDIT: I have 6 seats - a luxury so I can bring friends, family and colleagues. In reality I need 2 seats and pick up spares for anyone else.

Weird -- mine in 220 (legacy) went from $478 to $523 so about $45 per seat increase (that's not factoring in the discount from last years unplayed game credit)-- still less than the full price $587 for "non-legacy" subscribers --- but the gap is closing.....The $90 extra for the pair probably covers the MLS Apple TV package that is "free" with ST this year. So I guess that is something?! I'll probably renew as I doubt I'll ever get as low a row again in the Upper Light Greys if I give them up in that section.....but it's getting close to where the renewal will not be as automatic as it once was....

Ouch. According to my notes last season in Light Grey was $510 for those with Year 1 pricing. And if (if!) I'm correct, that's 24% increase - or a 7.5% per year increase given the prices haven't changed in 3 years.

Though at the same time, new seasons in light grey were $844, for the sales in 2021 (probably 10% higher for sales this year - if there'd been any available) ... maybe about $920?

Supporters is up from $380 to $440 (5%/year over 3 years) for those with year 1 pricing, and up $457 to $510 (3.7%/year over 3 years) for those with tier 2 (2014?-2018?) pricing. Suddenly that doesn't sound so bad (about 4% to 5% per year increase).

The good news, I suppose is) is that they are screwing long-time ticket holders less than new ticket holders.

$487 for the last 3 years is what my notes say. That sounds very civilized - a 9.4% increase - since 2020 - average of 3% a year.

Sounds like the strategy is to raise the upper bowl tickets about the rate of inflation, and push up the lower bowl tickets much more. The light-grey pricing is now $110 higher in the lower compared to the upper - last year it was only $32.

9 years in sec 107. Last year was $3146 for a pair. This year is $3854. That’s about 23% if my math is right. Amazing.

I have had a pair of tickets in 126 since year one.

    2022 - $1571.68 +taxes
    2023 - $1854.86 +taxes

    Approximately 18% increase. Ouch.

I saw my email I didn't even login I wrote I want to cancel the past few years have been un acceptable

    "
understand that the last few years have not been up to our standard, but we are really excited about the direction that the club is heading for 2023, and confident that we will be back competing for trophies!

If you decide to cancel and submit the form, I will be sure to give you a call to follow up to discuss options, as well as if there is anything we can do to keep you on board for what promises to be an exciting 2023 season."

I'll be compiling a list of current management mis managing TFC funds

I'll check my price increase tomorrow don't wanna have that factor into the reasons why I want to not renew lol.

No - 2022's ticket package was sold for 20 matches - same as for 2023. They only played 18 home matches in 2022, so we received a credit for 2 matches. My credit was 7%, although it was a 10% reduction in matches; I assume dynamic pricing is to blame.

I've had seats since year 2 in the southend. Looks like last year was 353 per and this year is 440. That is a 24% increase.

The price increase is a disgrace.
My seats (in 110) went up 28%

ETA: if I take into account the credit for the two games not played, it is approx 20%. Still pretty large.

Yup the increase is disgraceful after the season we just had. I hope they realize that their chain will be shortened in regards to the product on the field and for the services offered in BMO next season. In all ways 2023 is going to be a make or break season.

The prices for new members is exactly the same as 2022, the discounts that the renewals enjoy seems to be scaled back. Mine in Upper Light went from a 32% discount to only 11%.

My guess is that new member demand is strong so they are not too concerned with retention.

They should look back to the good ol' days of TFC mismanagement and see how that worked out the first time.

anyone know a simple way to see last years total and monthly payment?

This is how i am justifying not paying this increase-

All the mismanaged funds seems to be pushed on loyal Supporters:

In your account if you go to paid invoices, 2022 should be there.
For some reason last year, all the older invoices disappeared (I used to be able to see a lot of them ).

At least nobody is being forced to buy Marlies tickets any more... there's today's dysfunction and then there was early TFC -- which was monumental dysfunction.

All I have to say is at these prices, with this attendance, that if there's any matches with Argos turf damage I will be complaining. In no way should we have to suffer anything from our 'match day experience' at increased rates. And to appease some secondary, fringe league at that. Next season there shall be no quarter.

That's how they positioned it as.

reality is they are making up for the sunk cost of terrible asset management dating back to 2018 including re-couping investment from poz

    Able to concur.
Similar ticket and % rate increase amounts in 221.
    From $688 to $806; + 17.15%.
    CPI/CIR at 7.5%?
    Consolation?
    Confirmation... I am legacy? Whoo-hoo!

    Wobbling and wavering.
Will likely commit to next season.
Have real doubts about following season though.
Will depend on if any increase is close to the projected rate around inflation; +3.5%.

Well... was hoping... Apple... Adidas... BMO as Field/Stadium & Shirt Sponsor... Concessions/Merchandise Pricing... A DP No Transfer Fee Strategy...
As well as... Federal, Provincial, City, even Canadian and/or International Football Federations like FIFA for subsidies regarding past (140M) and future (WC26) renovations.
