It would be very TFC to go out there and win this meaningless game and make us all really feel we could have done it this season if not for Bono and feel really anxious all off-season.

It would, but we couldn't click when it mattered. It's not going to happen against Philly. I'd just be happy to lose by two or less. (Although, hey, Charlotte beat them 4-0 last week when it counted, so...)

For an idea of just how bad our transition defense was (last in the league), we were first in the league in recoveries from the press in the opposing team's zone.

WE pressed well. We just didn't create anything from those recoveries and turned over the ball with all our players too high up the pitch continually.

Take away the Italians' solo efforts and we're near the bottom in xG, despite having more offensive zone possession.

So it wasn't just the defense. We didn't do anything with the ball when we had it.

I wouldn't mind seeing some TFC II guest players in this one. They deserve an MLS run out at least for their efforts.

Oso out. Richie out on yellow card accumulation. Three Italians are questionable. Play the kids round 2 I guess.

    Dreadful, just dreadful.
But... of course, fitting way to end this season.

Like many people, I suppose, will be at a family gathering today & unable to watch/comment.

For those of you watching - hope you get SOMETHING out of it.

Too lazy to post it at this point, but it almost looks like a 3-5-2 formation today with Jesus and Bernie upfront.

Have to feel for Doneil on the bench today, especially with 3 at the back.

World Cup hopes up in flames.

Montreal tearing Miami apart. Kone looking very good.

    Just brutal.

That this club is not clearing the very low bar set at the beginning of the season is still nuts to me.

Bradley looked apathetic in that whole sequence. Especially at the end of it with that half assed scared to block a shot.

Yeah, agree. It’s not just losing. It’s futility, for the second year straight no less.

The attack is so slow and anemic. I don’t think you can even say TFC has a counterattack.

Meanwhile the same Miami that beat us 1-0 is being hammered at home by Montreal 3-0 so far.

I have mostly watched this game. It has been an excellent run out for all the CMNT guys.

Obviously he will be back next season, but how far into the season do we give him before we start calling for Bob's job?

we spend too much effort trying to win marginal fouls by going down easy.

Unless it’s truly disastrous, as in just getting worse and worse, I think he gets the season. more players to add, a little more time for them to buy in.

Petrasso has to learn how to anticipate the pressure and turn in with the ball, shield it with his body.

Ah, PRO. The final kick in the teeth to a long season, a truly shit penalty call.

I’m pretty sure it deflected of his thigh first. I mean, absolute incompetence.

It’s not just that we make mistakes, it’s that we’re absolute pussycats out there in transition. We cover slowly, instead of attacking the ball.

Did our defense all bet on Gazdag to win the golden boot?

Bradley just does not keep up with the pace of play. I’d chastise my youth team CM for letting a runner cruise by him on an east 1-2 like that
