Interesting. MLS had one of the better implementations of VAR, better than England, although still imperfect.
MLS is a tough, physical league, that emphasizes speed, and features plastic fields, grueling travel, extreme weather, and incompetent refs. - NK Toronto

Man it was just 6 or 7 years ago we had some of the worst refs in all of world football. Webb made a significant impact. Toledo actually became a halfway (quarter-way?) decent ref rather than a grumpy guy walking around threatening yellow cards all game like a douche. It was just foul city before or no fouls at all, the consistency was so bad. From where it was in 2014 to now, it has made major strides. We need progressive refs like Webb who believe in calling a fair game, but not making the game about you or putting your stamp on the game, giving yellows for celebrations and things like that. It was so bad back then. Gantar seemed to make it a mission to just not give us fouls for some reason, it was mind-boggling.
