I don't get the sense yet that this is desperate or lost. Lots of possession but only a couple of chances in 20 mins. We can turn this around.

I know – it's really starting to piss me off how often they wear this stupid kit.

How much would we love Piette if he was ours?

A lot of this feels like a deliberate demand by BB that they hold defensive shape. They're a lot more compact going back than in the past. Still can't tackle for shit, of course....

    It feels like a derby...

they don't have to be a hot knife to go thourgh our butter of a midfield because our midfield looks like it has melted...

Interesting reaction from Criscito at having to clear that cross for a corner. He and BB will get along.

Caldweld was saying pre-game Kerr would be a great addition to the midfield with his speed. He keeps losing the ball.

Playing amateur ball, played for a whistle he was never going to get. He has potential though.

I had forgotten that Kamara was with Montreal now. Guy is such a mercenary.

Crazy that he is fifth all time for MLS goals and has done that with 9 different teams (10 separate stints).

Can somebody not coach Bono out of rushing to distribute the ball as quickly as possible, even when the quick pass isn’t on?

Liek wait for your team to move out of the defensive third at least. Ugggh

I was watching Criscito for that bit & thinking he's going "Hmmm...just like playing for Genoa this year."

They make a jersey with a colour scheme that a) has no connection to the team and b) is just plain ugly and then they're shocked it doesn't sell, so they figure they'll wear it every game to try to convince us.

Who knows, maybe they'll realize how bad it is and instead of just a new red kit, they'll replace both. A red one with white and green accents and then a white one with azzurri blue accents to go with our Italian transformation

Can't get the ball out of our own half. There is nobody out there but Criscito who can make a forward pass that breaks the lines.

Petrasso going forward has been our best attacking threat.

    Hot take:

Akinola is good only for playing centrally as a lone striker and running onto a final ball. Otherwise, he struggles to do most things at the MLS level and is living off one hot run of form in the MLS bubble

Only seen the last 10ish minutes of that half, better or worse than the Chicago game so far in terms of performance?

I'd say comparable. We're playing deeper defensively, but can't get any control of the ball.

One way you can be sure Steven Caldwell will never be a great coach: he thinks allowing Sam Piette space in the corner is a bad thing.

Every coach would love to isolate the worst shooter and crosser of a ball on the other team and have him take everything.
