Unbelievably not nominated for goal of the week. Okay

mlssoccer's staff barely disguise their TFC dislike anymore.

The Americans can’t handle little old Toronto or Canada beating them, their egos are incredibly fragile when it comes to America vs anything.

Goal of the week tends to be more about weirdness & distance then technical ability.

Seba didn't even win GotW for his goal against NYRB that got us into the playoffs.

Yah probably the best goal in league history and it wasn't nominated. They also had us as low as third in the 'power rankings' that year despite being absolutely dominant.

it's always passive aggressive though, like when they did a piece a few weeks ago noting the two huge DPs coming in... and their belief that of the two insigne would have less impact than hector herrera...

Yeah. That goal from the SJ guy is going to win hands down (deservedly so, though).

A very, very, very, good goal. Then again, Seba had a few of those.
Seba should have been nominated for that at the very least.
IIRC, it clinched TFC's first playoff birth?
That play, kinda, sorta, reminds me of Michael's recent off the Lorenziello pass? Lol!
Most recently, Alejandro's Panenka is a good one.

Was that Mukhtar at the end of the Nashville match that exchanged jerseys with Lorenziello?
First TFC MLS opponent player, of many likely, to do so?

You have your years mixed up jloome. We weren’t ever dominant in 2015, and were the recipient of the sixth spot in the east (it was the year they went from 5 to 6 playoff spots in each conference).

Not taking anything away from Seba's beautiful goal, which was even sweeter because he had been on Italy service and had just stepped off a transatlantic flight the same day

We were not that good that year. Seba dragged us into the playoffs. it was a one man show for sure.

Man Seba had some great moments and the atmosphere in the stadium was unreal in those.

Think we can get back there.

yeah I had that as 2017. I suspect I conflate good TFC stuff into smaller passages of time.

That is pretty interesting and unexpected. Maybe it will also help Mavinga to elevate his game play too

Mavinga is an outgoing guy. Not surprised he'd be the one to make these guys feel comfortable.

I also think Mavinga is easily influenced by those around him, a crowd pleaser of sorts. So I agree hopefully this new relationship helps to elevate his game and commitment

Mavinga has looked better in the past two games, I think.

He’s definitely looked tuned in and sharper. Hopefully his family’s health concerns have improved.
