    Nelson has been poor.

But our shape looks far poorer.

The way to beat this press is fast wing play with long balls that force the press back.

The insistence on playing this through the middle works right to NYRB's strengths.

I despise the Red Bulls franchise, but they always have an outstanding pitch.

I like Ayo/JJ to the point where I think itís a serious waste of money to bring in another striker.

Can anyone tell what the fuck we're trying to do, tactically? It just looks like a mess.

This game is just showing how much we need another quality midfielder. Insigne will give Ayo and Jesus so many tap ins.

4-4-2 diamond with wingers. Except Poz doesnít track or link to Bradley, Nelson canít defend, and and no one has the passing range to link the pitch.

Make a goddamn decision Jayden. He is so frustrating to watch. He obviously has talent, but needs to figure out how to use his teammates.

Poz is tracking back....he can't link from where he gets the ball though. (TSN pointed out Poz has the most tackles on this team so far this season)

This is going to be one of those games where we keep it close & then NYRB scores a second through a bit of stupidity & we don't look like scoring ever again.

Otherwise known as every single game at NYRB

trying to look at the positives and the offence actually looks dangerous with JJ/Akinola.

We've had decent moments but it's a bit frustrating that we still seem to have so much problem moving the ball against the press, getting players into supporting positions and switching field quickly.

They are a very nice duo. Jesus's playmaking is a pleasant surprise.

Kosi Thompson has had basically no role in the game. He's just playing a purely defensive fullback role but even then is often too far forward to allow for outletting the ball to the wing without risk.

Can definitely see him being swapped out for JMR early in the second half.

And honestly, if we are gonna play this type of system, Auro would be perfect.

we are a couple fullbacks, a CM and insigne away from being quite a good team imo.

Tom Barlow is a future TFC player. The next Mullinho, I reckon.
