So I notice other teams adjust to us. What do we do to adjust to the opposition?

Cause it sort of feels like we’re above having a game plan and just think we’re going to throw the ball out there and play them off the park (at least in this game)

Crossbar. We are getting completely overrun through 23 minutes.

We're playing terribly. Nervous, no foresight, rushing offensively but slow to act and press Defensively.

    Embarassing so far.

If CPL players didn't generally lack consistent finish it would be 2-0 by now.

I messaged Matteo Guenduezi about signing a 7 year DP contract for TFC and he did give me a thumbs up.

    Nice header by MacNaughton.

    Otherwise mostly tripe by TFC.

I’d like to know who exactly is supposed to be in the midfield. Because we have sweeper Bradley and a bunch of guys who play waaay too far forward. Generally, it looks like we’re playing some sort of donut formation

If signing a midfielder isn't a huge priority this summer, I am losing a ton of faith in BB.

We seem to be waking up now a bit.

Still, pretty dire first 30 minutes.

Our decision making is so poor, our shape so inconsistent.

It honestly looks like Bradley is trying to play Total Football, we switch positions so much.

It's been very chicken and egg but they look to have tightened up a little now.

I have lots of patience for young players.

I know we have better players coming in.

However we're getting beat on most 50-50 balls. Forge is hustling more, all over the pitch.

Beyond that, we're still applying soft pressure most of the time when Forge is in possession, whereas Forge applies hard pressure, either winning the ball directly, or pressuring TFC and leading to turnovers.

None of that is due to us having young players, or due to the new signings not being here yet.

I feel like that’s a save Westberg makes that a Bono doesn’t. Westberg anticipates the play, Bono likely would have been frozen on his line

I just can't take the whole "dribble into players" thing that both Poz & Nelson do. 1 of them at a time maybe but 2 is just killing momentum.

If TFC establishes a futsal team, Nelson should definitely start for them.

We really have to be much more direct. We keep trying to build from a high backline despite Forge pressing high, and all of our free players are hell and gone up the pitch.

That was a fun half to watch. Maybe a bit shocking from TFC at times but we were stronger in the last 10 minutes and seemed to find the game a bit more.
