That’s just a poor couple of set pieces from Nelson. No way the first should hit the wall from out that far and just over baked the second

Jayden Nelson taking our setpieces is a sign of how bad our roster is.
I have literally no thought that this team will actually be competitive this season -- giving up goals in the first 10 minutes or the last 10 minutes of a game is still a thing with this group (chasing games or blowing games) -- again --- we are just throwing away season after season since 2017 -- 2019 was a bit of a mirage, and 2020 was a flame-out with zero goals in a playoff game. We are literally throwing away 2021 and 2022 to turn over a roster so we can "start again" in 2023 --- Jesus is about the only thing that excites me from this year (the one signing that has "over-achieved" based on expectation) -- the kids are still kids (sometimes good, sometimes bad, rarely consistent), Salcedo is more or less a bust at this point based on salary and expectations (and to think I thought he would be a stabilising force on the back line - silly me) - Pozuelo will want $$ for next year -- is he still a DP difference maker at this point as he continues to age (his MVP season led us to what exactly?) and are we paying him as such for a team that is finishing last or close to it for 2021 and 2022? and unless Insigne is the next 30 point player in MLS (and can play goalie and defend as well - ha ha ha), he is not saving this group by himself.....oh, is Westberg even alive? is there any particular reason why Bono plays every minute of every game considering his stats seem to indicate he is not worthy of such deference?
I've been here since 2007 and this is just depressing and uninspired to watch most of the time -- this is simply another year to see if any kids can actually play on a starting 11 of a championship team one day (not sure any of them are consistent starters in this league) --- if this year was about development why is MB playing over a kid at that position, I appreciate everything that MB has done for this club, but he is not a 90 minute player anymore, and if we are transitioning to a "new era" then shouldn't we be doing that now and not later? --- it's really hard to watch a team that apparently has all the resources in the world to be successful (at least in MLS terms), continually play this poorly again and again....I'm aware they were "unlucky" the last few games (VAR nonsense) -- but at some point if it was all "bad luck" wouldn't it go the other way too?
I watch Seattle and think - it is possible to have sustained excellence and competitiveness over time and win championships too -- they are the model franchise of this league, it's definitely not us and hasn't been us since 2017.....we just keep fumbling about making the same mistakes over and over again and hope that we can buy our way out of our problems -- on rare occasions it works, most of the time it doesn't.....

Good goal. The Ayo and Jesus connection looks good.
Good timing by me (LOL) -- Bradley to Jesus to Ayo.....nice play....
Great play by Priso to force that turnover.
Nice finish by Ayo!
I can't understand what is causing every youth player to stall momentum and play it back. It has to be orders because it's too consistent.
I don’t know if DCU is taking us lightly if is just that bad defensively. Either way, we could find some points here despite the odds.
I agree -- it reminds me of how every rush up the ice in hockey now involves dropping the puck back to the last guy so that everyone can race to the opposing blue line and then stop so as to not go offside and let the trailing man carry the puck over the line while everyone stands still -- drives me nuts.....sorry for the hockey reference....but I agree with your point -- it is being coached into them it seems....
The worst of both worlds: Rauter + Caldwell.
I didn't know that we have a player named Petrazzo.
Caldwell so proud of being totally out-of-date, questioning why teams have somebody lie down behind the wall.
TFC mostly looking totally out of it, then a great goal, wow! Then out of it again.
This broadcast mostly sucks. No replay on a bunch of interesting situations.
Definitely taking it to them right now. Gotta capitalize before the half.
Classic Bono.
If Ayo and Jesus can play together in a front 3 it solves a lot of future problems
Quite a bit of the criticism of MB has been warranted this season so far, but he has had a pretty good game this far.
DCUs midfield is about as slow as ours - same with the forwards. The difference between them and us in terms of quality is keeper and defence.
Nelson should have cut it back to Jiminez in front of goal, he was all open.
At the other end, Nelson let a guy walk in on goal out of midfield, and was only lucky he missed the open goal.
Priso is starting to look like he’s shaking off the rust
What on earth was Bono doing? Just claim that ball.
Disasterclass.
sniff..
Like a dull knife through extremely soft butter.
Fountas is an absolute animal though. Has absolutely torn Thompson to shreds since switching sides.
Bono needs to be more aggressive on that. Very poor.
What does Westberg need to do to get playing time?
I would love to see Salcedo redeem himself, but it just doesn't seem to be happening. He does not solidify the defence.
Crazy the difference a top keeper like Hamid or an Andre Blake can have.
