    Not saying Romagnoli or any other of the "top" free-agent defenders would even come to MLS, but if TFC went that route, they could get more for less. Romagnoli is basically a less rash Salcedo. Also left-footed, and they have enough of those.
    If he can't get the other pieces he wants defensively I can see Bob going to a back three most of the time, limiting the wingback's zonal responsibility to the weak side.

    Salcedo posted a video criticizing his yellow In the seattle game. I wonder if that was a
    factor.

    100% agree. Guys wanting to force an exit generally just go thru the motions. Salcedo played hard.

    He may want to move but it’s not because he is unhappy

    question- if TFC signs anyone this week- will they be available immediately - taking into consideration visas, as well.

    Yes. Transfer window opens the 7th, next match is the 9th. So they can all begin playing as soon as they officially sign. Only thing that would prevent it is a delay in paperwork/waiting for a medical/etc.

    what is TFC's most glaring need:

    LB
    RB
    GK
    Midfield who can push the play forward?

    4 spots doesnt seem too bad.

    really TFC hasn't even replaced:

    V.V
    Moor
    Jozy( I guess Jesus)
    Auro
    Lawrence

    And it looks like a DP spot is about to come open. Got a feeling he could be a very polarizing signing on here based on previous debates.

    We've never replaced Drew Moor. If we ever did, we'd be 10000x better than we are now.
    Gonzo was an acceptable replacement for a short time, but quickly aged out.

    this is the frustrating part- we all know we need a moor replacement and never got it.

    its like all the goals in the world will help TFC win - except for the fact- there still isnt anyone on the team who can strike the ball at a decent rate outside the 18 yard box- this has been an issue since Seba left as well.

    FootBallAZ... what is TFC's most glaring need:

    Maybe...

    LB - Criscito
    EDIT: RW - Bernardeschi - Hoilett
    GK - Ospina
    Midfield who can push the play forward? Blessing - Laxalt - Ivanic if MBradley goes MID-R?

    4 spots doesnt seem too bad.

    really TFC hasn't even replaced:

    V.V = Poz
    Moor = Romagnoli - Patric - Henry - ?
    Jozy( I guess Jesus) = Yes, JJ
    Auro = Laryea - Henry - JMR - Petrasso
    Lawrence = Criscito

    It's less about the DP spot and more about how do you fit him into the lineup? Isn't Bernadeschi and MF/W?

    He's a right winger.

    Front 4 of insigne, Jimenez, berna and poz.

    that's pretty great not going to lie. Akinola was great during mtl and then looked slow in the last couple matches, would be great to have him super sub.

    Something like:

    ----------------Westberg--------------

    New RB -- Mavinga -- O'Neill -- Criscito

    --------Bradley/Priso -- Osorio------

    -----------------Pozuelo--------------------
    Bernardeschi --------------- Insigne

    ----------------Jimenez-------------

    Ideally another strong CB to come in as well and it's starting to look decent.

    And get him hungry, it is about time we got some depth back into the organization.

    Agreed - seems like a lot of players as of recent have been sitting on their laurels after a stretch of decent play. It always seems to be about mentality.

    You just described what Juve fans think of Bernardeschi.

    Not going to go over the arguements from a week ago....but nothing changes just because Singh says there is interest.

    being a mediocre player at juve translates pretty well to MLS, as we've seen

    If someone told me 8 or 9 years ago that some TFC supporters would be critical of a 28 year old Juventus player coming to this club I would of laughed real hard, I am laughing real hard now at the negativity towards Bernardeschi ,

    This team doesn’t compete without starting fullbacks. Insigne, Berna, Poz, Oso are all nice, but none address the shambolic backline for the last year and half. If we don’t have a starting pair by the end of the window someone is smoking some good stuff.

    He could be good, he could be bad. Insigne could also be good or bad. It's a weird league and players only come good if they buy in and commit. If these guys do, then they'll be good or great. If they come to collect money and float then they won't. Look at the list of highest earning players in MLS. Not all good and most aren't anywhere as good as they should be. I think a lot of players have had the Higuian thought; "I can get paid well and take it easy and dominate". Doesn't seem to work out that way historically.
