Some people need rebuilds to happen immediately and be successful immediately. Me, I know Lorenzo isn't going to fix EVERYTHING...

    but I think he'll fix a lot.

He will fix some things especially actual attempts at goal (important!) but it's the rumored additional 3 or 4 guys that should really turn things around when/if they get on the field for us.

Honestly, I think he can help fix some of the defensive woes if he is what people say he is re: tracking back and stuff. But I agree.

I think he will be virtue of holding the ball far better and pinning teams back more.

Plus experience and tactical awareness of course

    Good list… I might add 2 more

    - Compete for CCL, this was the big one for me and to be honest the only only I really cared about.
    - Open up international spots (btw does anyone know how many more we have available)

    Thoughts...

    Given BBradley's connects to LAFC...
Without understanding if, how, Santos would be owed anything or what?
Also, if there is no re-entry into allocation?
Then, could a straight up MLS Trade make sense involving...
Auro Jr. for Doneil Henry or maybe Latif Blessing?
All out of contract Y22 season-end?
    All around same salary?

TSN confirms Laryea going to be loaned. Maybe we can get him back?

I don't know anyone on the board who thought going to Forest was a good idea. He needs playing time for the WC.

He would be better served to get a loan to a Championship team for the whole season rather than mess around with whoever gets him in MLS until the WC. Would be a bit of a mess come December and might impact him going anywhere else in the winter window.

Besides if the rumors are true and we're getting Laxalt & Criscito then we wouldn't have room for him anyway.

It would but for some reason I picture all former TFC players going to Vanney in LA. That's the first thing I thought about when I saw the Auro wants a return to MLS Tweet.

Otherwise Blessing would be more useful to us presently than Henry. If we didn't have Mavinga then sure but that would be more of an offseason move than now.

But for me, I would rather have some plain old GAM.

latif blessing would be an amazing signing but can't see LAFC letting him go.

That would be a good call. Pace, box-to-box, exactly the type of player that would fit in well here.

Been on that Blessing train for awhile. Using GAM to acquire proven MLS players is a good bet.

This story does not confirm that, and neither does the story it’s quoting.

This story is quoting an Athletic spec (speculation) piece in which they say, based on last season’s minutes, that he will “likely” be loaned out.

All of the stories citing his moving on loan in the last week are based on this spec piece, which contains no sources, and no confirmations.

(I’m not saying it’s not going to happen, just that nobody has confirmed this yet).

athletic doesn't do speculation, they were reporting that the current feeling around the club is that he'd go on loan.

of course that can change, and it's not set in stone yet.

According to sources close to the club, in addition to Lorenzo Insigne, @TorontoFC
will not only sign Domenico Criscito but also another @SerieA
    player

We have been linked to FB, Belotti and Destro at different points this offseason.

I spent 24 years as a reporter and editor and I respectfully disagree.
They speculate regularly, like any outlet, and that piece gave me no sense
they were talking to anyone at Notts Forest. Reporters have certain tells but at the very least, if they have something solid, they claim sources to add believability.

They know Forest is shopping for a new right back, he played all of 120 min last season. And he need to play before the World Cup. So they're putting two and two together.

I could be wrong but I don't think I am.

Who knows, maybe Richie is the returning former player.

the said reporter is incredibly well connected and is a senior reporter at the athletic, so i doubt he would engage in speculation.

the main attraction of the athletic is solid scoops and drawing back the curtain.

anyways we'll see in a couple weeks so no point debating.

i wonder who this other serie a signing is?

oh man, that would be brutal.

could easily translate to this season, next + a club option of a third tho, which seems more likely.

We can always transition him to more of a
pt. time player-coach, like Drew Moor at Colorado.

We get leadership out of him, maybe 15 starts per
year. It's not ideal but he's still a great player and it'll help Insigne settle.

Criscito's oldest son has been playing for one of Genoa's youth setups. Gotta think he will be given the same luxury here.
