If you believe what Forbes says then we actively shopped Ayo around the league and VWC offered Blackmon.
Forbes is Forbes and he is anoying but he is right enough of the time to hear out and decide if what he is saying is sensible. In this case it makes so much sense he might have made it up just by putting 2 & 2 together.
I just noticed that too for the second time now. Any benefit of the doubt he had remaining is gone.

Bogert does confirm TFC is willing to move Akinola though. Forbes just throws stuff against the wall to see what sticks. And moving Ayo would make sense, so it's not like he's trying too hard to predict this.
Perhaps in the off-season but we could have traded Ayo for MAK and instead traded Priso. I think they still see Ayo as a need for a potential playoff run

Ayo for Kaye made no sense when we only had 1 DP slot to play with & that's likely to be a certain Italian right sided forward (i.e. 10 days ago)
Ayo for something decent makes a LOT more sense if we have 2 DP slots to play with & 1 of them now is likely to be a centre forward.
(Ayo offered means JJ stays - I'm OK with that)

I thought the opposite when I heard that. I thought that meant it was TFC that wanted the Kaye package to include Ayo instead of Priso. My assumption was that TFC swapped out the Ayo for Priso in the package to get this done. Just my opinion based on the view I provided above.

Could be true. Bogert reported the opposite but it’s not uncommon when a reporter gets something arse-backwards for a source to call and correct, as they don’t want the wrong impression out there.
