bernadeschi turned down napoli because he wants 3 mill per season so I cant see him being TAM unless they do TAM until next year and then he moves up to a DP slot.

Could very well mean that Poz is on his way out. Might make sense for him to leave inside of MLS. Weird to say, but Montreal or Vancouver could both use a guy like Pozuelo.

he announced he leaving Juve a few weeks ago so this one is a real possibility if the deal is sufficient. but where do we get 3M cap space?

I just get why a DP slot of a guy that doesn't score that much.

Like, I'm sure Jesus would just LOVE to have Insigne & Bernadeschi passing to him but....a DP slot?

Bernardeschi would 100% be a DP.

My friend was there. And I also heard it from someone else that he was in yorkville with people.

He would for sure be getting offered Belotti money if he’s here for TFC interest. I looked online and haven’t found one rumor. I was trying to remember, when we signed Giovinco, didn’t that just come out of nowhere ?

Could he count as TAM for this season and then be a DP after?

Nah, I just don't see this working out (unless they offload / downgrade Salcedo somehow) You can't get 4 DP's in - somebody has to go. And there has been absolutely no indication that Poz is going anywhere this year.

not necessarily, the contract for FB could be 1.6 million for the remainder of this year, then a full DP salary for next 4 years, or whatever.

alternatively salcedo salary could have been front-loaded and eligible to buy him down.

also, could look to move poz. lots of options.

I imagine Poz has a no movement clause in his contract within MLS. He'd need to approve a move to another MLS team. The only way I could see that happening is if the acquiring team gives him a multi-year contract of $3M+/year. Another option could be a team in Spain/Europe giving him a multi year deal and we let him leave early.

The salary budget charge is the average annual guaranteed payment. So for FB if it was 1.6M and then DP after that, it would be a DP for year one. Could work for Salcedo if he's on $2M+ this year and then $1M for a few years after that.

ih yeah, my bad i didnt know it was average.

i reckon salcedo will be bought down, MLSE often frontloads contracts.

No worries - here's the salary rules if you want to take a look. Although during the off season roster discussion thread we were trying to sort through some budget stuff and noticed a couple inconsistencies... https://www.mlssoccer.com/about/rost...nd-regulations

Steven Vitoria is out of contract June 30th, Would be useful to stabilize the TFC defense and keep him match fit for WC.

Poz has already said on the record that he's open to re-signing a below-DP deal to return "I've made my money," was the quote.

So he re-signs on a TAM deal, and Bernardeschi comes at a half-seaosn TAM deal this year, it could absolutely work.

Hmmm... very interesting, if his statement is sincere, making way for the addition of FB, all of a sudden the team takes a significant leap forward... POZ = VV!

Half of our situation is addressed, now for the other half...

L'attacco fa partite, la difesa da campionati!

Has someone reached out to 'Here We Go' this morning for comment?

Seems to be 'dialed in' previously?

Lets see if there is any confirmation, one way or another...
