I don’t really see how what MLSE is doing makes marketing sense - unless they go full 1977 Cosmos here and pay Ronaldo $200M or whatever it would take for him to come. These two guys feel like secondary pieces, to me, if what you are trying to do is get real TV ratings.
Soccer wise, I mean, who knows? I could see anything. But winning teams generally (but not always) have more equal distribution in caliber of player and pay, rather than less. (I have no data to support this, maybe somebody does.)
