There's also allegedly a keeper we're interested in but all I know aside from that is it's NOT Celenteno, the GA kid.
Reports in Italy say Insgine turned down E8.3M per season for us from Newcastle. Money talks. We might get Belotti yet, although I imagine at 28 and as clinical as he is he'd cost even more.
Transfermarkt says we're interested in Lukas MacNaughton of Pacific FC.

Lots of teams could use him - if he is moving Premier League teams alone could create a bidding war - West Ham, Wolves, Spurs, Brighton, Newcastle, and maybe even Man City all need an elite striker, for various reasons. We would be in tough to out compete those clubs. ( For example the BBC says this about Newcastle:
... there will be more activity before the end of January. Howe, head of recruitment Steve Nickson and consultant Nicky Hammond have been working hard in preparation for further moves. They want to strengthen in central defence and midfield, as well as find a striker after the recent calf injury to top scorer Callum Wilson. )

This isn't rumours or news but I was curious what ever happened with our pick from last year Matt Di Rosa. I recall him being a left back I believe, did he ever get to play for TFC II or where did he go, anyone know?
Insigne announcement tomorrow at 9:00am. Manning to talk at 11:00am
Great tease. Hopefully we see lits of those

There's some discussion on Twitter that Dichio will be leaving the TFC academy to take a job with a USL Championship team. Would be sad to see him leave after how long he's been with the team.

Watched all the Toonies matches this year and if the Accies are as much a challenge as this past year I wouldn't be surprised if he chose to finally join a side that has one team in mind to succeed.
Look at the back and forth even in Champions League this past season. Crazy challenge for the USL side of things to build a winner.

Hey Oldtimer, thanks for the assist with that piece of business yesterday; appreciated.
It can't be easy with fools as me. I envision you, your moderating, in a spirit of fun and sincerity as a... The Commissioner Of Football, 'King Eric' Cantona...

Don't think Insigne will need the assist to do this with our goalkeepers... well maybe if Borjan joins.

What is interesting and likely fun to watch about Insigne is that enough of his goals come from outside the box shots.
Something I believe is historically lacking on TFC.
Came across some podcasts yesterday, b or c tier?, mentioning during discussions about Insigne's TFC signing that aside from the money, there may be a quality of life aspect to his decision and having his family- children exposed to another culture and learning English. Sorry, unable to re-find the podcasts to link.
It depends on the person, but I think lifestyle and a bit of personal freedom could be the single biggest factor. Giovinco certainly said it, and his family is still here.
These guys live very weird lives in Europe. Elite football is a world with a truly distorted value system. Plus, like the Leaf players here, an Insigne really can’t ever just go out to dinner or go out to the mall over there.

Its SIGNING DAY.......
FYI... against today's TFC's twitter account posting of Insigne's 'All For One' pronouncement, I noticed, given his dress, that 'technically' Insigne may have signed several days ago; probably between 3-5 days accounting for any filming to posting time lapse.
