Given Pozuelo was in the TFC photos released yesterday and today of Days 0 and 1 of training camp, I doubt that.

Who was not in the photos.

Delgado was at Morgan's coffee shop yesterday. Traded today.

Lawrence wasn't in the photos. Rumoured to be leaving. Lends credence to the rumour.

    Amateur Instagram sleuthing:

Players confirmed at camp: Westberg, O'Neill, Petrasso, Auro, Bradley, Osorio, Okello, Pozuelo, Priso, Shaff, Achara, Perruzza, JMR

Players not in Cali photos (yet): Bono, Singh, Nelson, Mavinga, Lawrence, Delgado, Altidore, Soteldo

Players who have reportedly, but not confirmed, signed (not in photos yet): Akinola, Kobe Franklin, Salcedo,

I don’t think permanent residency in Canada is sufficient to count as a domestic. You need to be a citizen (or other special exemptions) to be a Canadian domestic.

For those that follow TFC II

None of these option declines surprise me (except maybe Politz). These guys didn't play by the end of the season. Then Politz and McLaughlin are USL journeymen who probably will likely look to sign in USLC (and former TFC draft pick Maples too) than go to MLSPro

Remember when McLaughlin scoring at a pretty good clip in the early part of the season and people wondered if he could be a depth signing for the first team. He had been a top 10 draft pick by Houston only a year earlier. Caleb to me was brought back to be a mentor a playing coach, giving the kids direction. Does he move into the role full time, maybe, TFC II already has a GK coach.

    Osorio/Achara Perruzza Shaffelburg/Nelson

+ Pozuelo of course if not gone

very thin and with this the big question will be if homegrowns are good enough...will obviously bring a number of new players but a high risk that the chemistry wont be there at the start...so gotta have a big second half of the season with insigne

I have faith in Bob Bradley to help our young guys reach another level. Similar to how Vanney was able to help various players grow I see the same thing for Bradley.

As for the Pozuelo stuff, I really doubt that he’ll be sent out especially with him at camp. Although what I wouldn’t doubt is them monitoring how he rebounds from last season, and if his form is poor then anything can happen come July. He does appear very motivated to prove his worth which you gotta love. Hoping he gets back to a respectable form.

Very curious what’s up with Mavinga still being in Toronto and playing flight simulator instead of being at training camp. Hard not to think that he’ll be gone too.

Pozuelo to China would surprise me despite his struggles last season. Doesn’t seem like the sort to be happy there.

That's correct. Exceptions are refugee status, US citizens or green card holders, and homegrown players are counted as domestic regardless of immigration or citizenship status.

Second on Priso, still not prime time IMO, yet gonna really need him as things seem to stand.
Hopefully some RPB sleuthing on unnamed players trialing in next weeks will yield interesting developments and discussions.
I wouldn't read too much on Jozy not being there. Number of players... Chris... Kemar... who are expected to be are missing.
Some of these will be moving on... some not.
Regarding Jozy... curiosity cold killed this cat... for argument sake...
I get he's likely gone... I also get TFC and Jozy camps are likely leveraging each others positions...
Until any perceived or hard deadlines to maximize any outcomes...
I also get for insurance reasons and Jozy's injury history it would simply not be worth it...
However, if TFC is expecting him at camp and he does not show up, is their a MLS mechanism...
A precedent to limit or void his remaining contract earnings besides the understood off-season unilateral buy-out clause?
Likely very messy and unnecessary; MLSPA.
    Just wondering.

    Likely a glitch...
However, speaking to the conspiracy nutter flip-side...
Maybe MLSE marketing war room had an issue with what is obvious and was clearly implied by BB...
Lets not unnecessarily give pause to and frustrate away any SSH sales success we are enjoying with any honesty...
That TFC are now a work in progress, that roster building is on-going in the preseason...
Will be on-going once the season starts throughout and until the summer European Window...
And will likely also be happening aside from, once and after the understood reinforcements arrive.
Casual... TFC is entering unsettled times; again.

Hopefully... just Omicron. I know... reads bad. Or nothing too serious.
Acquisition of both Salcedo & Criscito would make him a 3rd CB or more depth selection.
Maybe his salary/budget hit is not ideal given evolving circumstances.

Why do people think Lawrence is leaving? He isn’t in camp because Jamaica have a friendly tomorrow against Peru as a warm up for next weeks Concacaf and he is in the lineup. Did I miss something?

Hearing Kemar Lawrence will be departing #TFCLive. He’s currently under contract so it’s likely he’s traded within the #MLS

Michael Singh was also saying Lawrence is gone. Who will start at LB then? Criscito would be a summer signing I thought.

Poz leaving I can buy but China? Absolutely not. The Chinese clubs have been told to cut spending on imports, have lost the majority of them over the pandemic and the league has barley played in two years.

Thanks, didn't see that one.... looks like BB and Manning are undoing absolutely everything Curtis did. Regardless of Canada, he does not take up an international spot on a US team. Get something valuable for him.

Ayo re-signed. Announced. His new deal is U22.

    • Toronto FC have signed forward Ayo Akinola to a new deal as part of the Major League Soccer U-22 Initiative through 2024 with an option for 2025.
“We are thrilled as a club to have signed Ayo as part of the league’s new Under-22 initiative,” said Toronto FC president Bill Manning. “Over the last few years, watching Ayo grow as a player and a person has been extremely gratifying to the many staff who have worked with him along our player pathway. We have seen glimpses the last two seasons of just how impactful Ayo can be and it’s exciting to think of what’s still to come for him as a TFC player.”

Nice. Just lost another way of bringing in new players. Not like we don't have the cap space and GAM to afford him.
