this guy is pretty obsessed with TFC, does anyone know his deal?
Mohamed Omar picked by Rapids at 23...joins Kaye
I wonder if there's a chance Poz is the one who leaves and they keep Soteldo to try and rebuild his value. Tactically, it makes sense as it would allow BB to play his customary 433, with Soteldo playing on the right.
Wouldn't be ideal but I'd be willing to give Soteldo another chance if the relationship isn't totally broken. He was sold a lie and came into a shitshow in an unfamiliar country during a pandemic. Hardly a recipe for success.
Unless Soteldo discovers a long-lost Italian relative he's gone
Sky Sports Italy reporting Bellotti has been offered 8M euros per seaoson by Al Hilal in Saudi Arabia.
After Insigne and given his age can we assume TFC is going to be offering something north of that?
that is way too much for the rooster.not worth more than 4 -5 mil a year
Newcastle is signing Chris Wood so that’ll put them out of signing Belotti.
With the 31st pick, Toronto FC selects GK Luka Gavran

He would have already been filled in by Seba. Less money isn't the only reason to turn down a place. Quality of life also is a factor.
In Toronto he has an Italian community right here who he could feel at home in.
I don't thing TFC needs to necessarily match Al Hilal. They need to exceed Europe.
MLS is a tough, physical league, that emphasizes speed, and features plastic fields, grueling travel, extreme weather, and incompetent refs. - NK Toronto
Orlando drafts former Toronto FC Academy player (and Sigma FC player in L1O) Nathan Dos Santos 46th overall
The keeper is 6'5. That is a solid foundation at the very least.
^ I stand by my earlier comment that if a Sigma FC player was on the board we should take them a) because they are local b) cause they have a good track record of developing pros.
Let’s hope this wasn’t a huge missed opportunity.
Looks like Toronto FC passed on their 59th pick. The MLS tracker is showing it (and a few other teams) blank
Edit: it's now updated. TFC picked Reshaun Walkes. Picks were coming out every 30 seconds, so it seems they were just updating random spots in the tracker

is there a benefit of passing on a pick, is every pick required to be signed, it would be nice to trial the best available candidate, the only thing i can think of is they are required to be signed

The #SuperDraft 2nd round flies by, and the best picks in the bunch IMO:
TFC grabbing GK Luka Gavran at 31, that's a steal.
Any other NBA devotees here have their heart flutter when they saw “Toronto” and “Luka” in the same sentence…?
Also it's nuts the number of Canadian soccer players whose parents came here from “former Yugoslavia” countries. We really did a nice job attracting the parents of athletes in that part of the world in the 90s…

Technically that includes Welshman and Bekker too. So maybe we haven’t been totally blind to the idea.
But I like the idea of drafting someone from a place with pedigree if you’re late on the board. Normally that’s a decent sign when odds are getting slimmer if someone will work out.
nope not required to sign a drafted player
