I think there can be "mutual agreement" deals though. That means, Jozy gets a bit more than if he stayed here - and/or a longer deal; TFC pays him out but not the full amount; the other team pays the difference plus a bit more (and/or pays less, but for longer), which gets them a "relatively" inexpensive striker and earlier certainty than if they let Jozy and TFC fight it out to the bitter end.

Give me his teammate, Agustin Alvarez, instead. 20-year-old striker scoring goals for fun down there. Alvarez is attracting interest from big European teams, though.

Oh shit, that's hilarious. I saw your post and thought "there's another one, a kid everyone compares to Luis Suarez, that I bookmarked about three or four months ago, I'll look him up...."

    And it's the same dude.

Apparently, Atletico Madrid have shown interest but want him for free when his contract ups, so if someone came in with a decent offer before then he's still available.

Not from us. KC, Dallas and Austin added to the moves today, and Minnesota re-signed Dayne St. Clair to a three year deal.

I would like to see Dayne St. Clair with TFC, with W to further groom him.

Ballou Tabla and Rudy Camacho out in Montreal, former's option not picked up and latter's contact has expired without renewal.

Tabla will probably stay in Montreal on a reduced salary. He was on almost 300k,no way they were picking up that option. He was basically their Gallardo

It's the deadline to release it to the league but the club has no obligation to release it today (as noted on mlssoccer.com, suggesting this isn't uncommon). Our front office hasn't cared a whole lot about communicating breaking news lately.

I also noticed that Ian Russell is still listed as a member of the staff but Ewan Sharp is not as he was removed from the website, heard nothing about his departure.

Very curious now that you mention coaching who BB will bring in for his assistants.

I know he is a bit of a controversial player, but Camacho could do a job at TFC for the right price.

Wonder if Zak Abdel could find his way to Toronto as GK coach. Has been with Bob during a number of his stops including the US, Egypt and most recently LAFC. He actually also had a stint with the Canadian National Team too in 2017. He is experienced and would bring a wealth of knowledge. He is still listed as a member of the LA coaching staff, but who knows his future until a new coach is hired similar to Conway.

    https://www.lafc.com/zak-abdel

Mike Sorber is another LAFC coach who has been with Bob along the way at times similar to Ante Razor who both played and worked for him. I could see some of these guys finding their way to Toronto depending on how things go I guess.

Spurs are apparently interested in Insigne. Could just be lazy journalism given they have an Italian coach and GM but it feels like a good logical move for him if hes going to leave Naples.

We were discussing at one point the possibility of getting Jim Curtin. Seems FC Cincy had the same idea. They're trying to buy him from Philly.

In former TFC player news, Nick Hagglund's option declined in Cincy, he is a free agent.

In 'desirable player' news, Daniel Royer's option was not picked up by the Red Bulls. Has he declined or aged out? Haven't paid attention but he's always seemed dangerous and industrious.

    No TFC news yet.

Toronto FC has not exercised options on goalkeeper Kevin Silva; defenders Omar Gonzalez, Eriq Zavaleta, Rocco Romeo, and forward Patrick Mullins.

Only thing that stands out to me is Ayo is out of contract. Will be important for the team to get him back. Otherwise it's widely as expected I'd say. We will have a fair bit of budget space to play with.

Will be interesting to see what happens with Rocco, does he choose to back to Europe where he was in Denmark or the CPL.

Liam Fraser went from being a can't miss prospect, hyped up by the media and blogs to no end, to being a guy no one cares that is out of contract.
