Atlanta’s playing a high recovery press but the rest of the time is leaving the line deep enough that our speed can’t hurt them. We need to adjust, figure out where we can overload with a midfielder. Attacking Robinson’s side one on one is just a waste
    of time.

we need to break away from the direct speed
game here and build up around the box patiently.

JMR looks like he is good technically, but I do not see much burst, workrate or awareness from him out wide. His best position might be as a 10.

I really really don’t see what the fuss is about JMR. Akinola, Priso, Okello, Shaff I get it. Hell even I even get it to a degree with Jayden Nelson. But I just do not understand the JMR hype.

JMR is playing based on where the ball is not where the spaces are & its like playing with only 10.5 people. I know he's young but this sort of thing should have been coached into him by now.

Nope, they had zero chance of winning that and wading in When three of Atlanta’s four players were attacking the ball wouldn’t have changed that. It just would’ve put him ten yards further forward when the inevitable defensive sequence started. Agree
    to disagree on that one.

for as little as he saw of the ball he did okay. Achara contributed fuck all before his injury.

Anyways, this game was always going to be tougher against opponents who probe & figure out where there are weaknesses & a defence that can't be run through with the long ball or the one on one winger drive.

Good things for me are Lawrence in the middle & Osorio finding spaces well.

Richie is tired & Shaff has to find a different place to do his attacks.

I'd personally take Auro out, move JMR to RB and put on Pozuelo.

I strongly believe he needs to be at the club next year. Oso, Delgado, Fraser, Priso, Okello is an excellent core of midfielders.

That was good - JMR has had a better half.

JMR off is a SHOT to the confidence of a 17 year old who is supposed to be a world beater and only came on 30 mins ago

Great play from the kid there.

    Then gets taken off? Ouch.

Skill looks good, read of the game needs work. But not sure how smart that was.

My guess is Perez told him “tactical”
    when he came out.

no review on that? Another PRO classic.

Our shape seems really loose and poor this game. Maybe just because of how well Atlanta have pressed.

Your don’t take a 17 year old with promise off who you had just subbed in before , he was not playing that badly what a piece of shit coaching , great way to kill a kid’s confidence in a nothing fucken game , shame on you TFC!!

I love Jozy for everything he has done for this club, but his workrate has become pathetic. So static.

Pineda is a smart coach. We’re down a goal and have to press so they’ve switched to a half-field counter.
