Perez has got nothing to loose by ruffling feathers. I want to see him bench all the vets.

Watching all these kids from their academy play versus our "we have to play these guys to succeed" team is just soooo...painful. I know Vanney got the academy going but refusing to play the kids at all is just so sad.

I would include a few of players who need a rest. Seems foolish to push players to exhaustion for a few more points. It’s obvious that the holes are too big in this roster to overcome the horrible start to this season anyway.

We really aren't that good at the moment. And need to think of ourselves that way.

I wish they would do that but this team is addicted to "when we just put it together, we are going to..." thinking.

I appreciate Mullins out there basically coaching Perruzza on the field. He is giving him feedback every stoppage in play. Jozy would just put his hands on his hips and walk somewhere.

    Shameful display.

disgraceful lack of effort and cohesion

    just shameful.

Time to start making it known at home games that change is required. A TIFO on sacking Curtis might be a nice start, for anyone inclined.

True. That sort of tunnel vision only works if one is able to step back and honestly evaluate themselves. Otherwise it just ends with delusion and failure. It was fine when all the pieces were there, that hasn’t been the case for since Moor and Vasquez left.

I enjoy the fact there is a team - just wish the team could make it a little more enjoyable. When they were consistantly crap but we all knew it, including them, it wasn't all that bad. But this..this constant "We are better then this" thinking is just so debilitating.

BTW, the mental excuse tonight will be "without Pozuelo..." They are not going to say it, but that's what it is going to be.

I sure hope not. they had a number one line up and were very poor indeed. Lots of blame to go around.

Tonight’s commentary has been the most critical of tfc that I think have ever heard from tsn.

They are running out of ways to sugarcoat their poor performances.

They and Achara looked like they want to play. Reward it in the next game, Perez.

Sit the effortless, play the ones who are hungry.

never thought I’d see Michael Bradley quit running to win balls, let alone multiple times in one game.

    Just sad.

This team has no motivation. 3 of our 4 highest paid players in the starting 11 were not just bad, they were downright liabilities.

A few minutes ago, half decent chance, Achara gets the ball at the back post, but nobody fucking crashed the box. It was all open in the middle, could have been an easy tap-in for somebody. But everyone except the two directly involved were watching or jogging.

I do think Perez improved things with his subs and formation change. 0-0 2nd half is much better than the 3-0 1st half (plus obviously Philly didn't need to try anymore). But the motivation or commitment or fitness or whatever, just wasn't there for long.

I think Bradley's play, guaranteed 90-minute position, and salary are a problem. $1.5 million for a non-DP chews up lots of our allocation money. I'll check the game stats later, but I also thought Osorio was pretty invisible tonight.

The 7-1 felt bad but you knew it was on the coach

This feels bad but we know its ALL on the players

He won't do it, but he has to sit a lot of these people on Saturday. Let the kids get burnt a bit by NYC. At least we know they will hustle.

Sadly, I also think there's a frequent lack of hustle by many (but not all) young Canadians on the team. I've seen it over the years: so many seem to have been a middle-sized fish in the very small pond of Canadian soccer before the come to TFC. Sometimes they think something is owed to them; or they think they have to act "cool" on the big stage; or they just don't seem to realize the raw effort that is needed for any newcomer to succeed.

Good night, that was a game I would rather soon forget...

While I think there’s an element of truth here, it’s fair to say we’re doing a crap job developing amd retaining young talent. A pay-for-play academy / pseudo agency is producing far more professional players, right under our noses. Our best prospects under our roof frequently wave goodbye for Europe without much of a second thought.

It’s time to go down to TFCA and clean house
