Not sure PRO has figured all this out yet - they seem to busy trying to justify fouls from behind.

Man Priso really stepped up after that goal.

Solteldo and Pozuelo have to learn how to combine.

Alright I'm going to start calling Soteldo "El Toro".

Soteldo is like the opposite of Laryea. Soteldo never goes down and keeps attacking, Laryea goes down on contact anywhere near the box. You'd think the South American would dive and the Canadian would be the pit bull

I thought that was a rather good game, at first we didnt have the ball for many spells, the overall thing lacking with TorontoFC is possession all the time. which they do have later on in time. I think, that we were able to contain the Polish striker from New York Redbull, but for the most part we need to continue doing well. Congrats on the tie, now to move onto Chicago.

Fuck you Petrescu, only giving another 1 min 15 seconds for that head injury. That wasted far more time.

Sometimes TFC was combining great. But sometimes guys weren't supporting each other on offence, just watching. Like Delgado all alone with the ball on the front right, nobody came close to offer an opportunity to pass. Happened a bunch of times to other guys as well and led to lots of our turnovers.

The big problem with this team is it is poorly constructed. When Armas was hired some of us gave him time to show his skill even though it seemed obvious that bringing a high pressing style to an older slow team made no sense. Unfortunately, adding Soteldo is the same thing and it needs to be said now. He and Pozuelo need the ball to make a difference and it isn’t possible to accommodate both. Fantastic player and we are so lucky to have him; but gifted possession players weren’t our weakness. Plus we need to develop others like Priso. Our weaknesses were an aging and slow defense and a lack of depth at striker and goal keeper. We needed to create room for youth; fix the defence, add pace and a striker. The only part of this they did was Dwyer and so far that doesn’t seem a good choice.

As shit as we were in the first half, the second sent a message that we’re going to be difficult for anyone to beat. That first half was about as well as NY has played all season.

Soltedo is a great player, he just needs very good players to play along side with.

^ this and we are missing 4 key players (No Ayo).

EDIT - But we are running out of time, we need a strong run of wins.

I think it would make sense to split Poz and Soteldo, have them on either side of the pitch.

Teams are just overloading the side they are on, we need to play a more balanced approach and stretch the opposition.

We are still undefeated in the Perez era, didn't concede more than one, all is not lost.

He wasn't good. He looked lost out there. Moving Delgado back into the midfield and taking a lot of the defensive responsibly off him made a world of difference. Of course, the goal also helped his confidence.

But when you state that Mullinho is the greatest TFC striker since Andrea Lombardo, we know you're being 100% serious.

Pozuelo replaces Vazquez. Soteldo replaces Giovinco. Soteldo is also willing to high-press and be the first line of defence. Lots of room for both on the pitch, but the whole team needs to work on positioning (especially when the opponent is pressing high). Plus seeing how thin we are in the striker department, we need secondary scoring threats like Poz and Soteldo.

Soteldo isn't the problem. We need backup strikers better than Dwyer (until Jozy is replaced), and we need a new top CB.

Toronto teams are cursed to forever have awful brain farts at defense. Except for 2017.

That's what this team needs, that's what this team has always needed.

Yes. And the leadership of our club threw that - and possibly the season - away.
