He wouldnt be a bad pickup, but we dont need a midfielder at the moment.

A Stiker and A Defender is what we need now.

No one heard of the 4-2-3-1 formation ???

This is what TFC should be using

I think a 4-2-3-1 would work with all of the skilled midfielders we have...well when they aren't suspended.

Oh and I'd love to comment on the article but the link is broken.

WAS a good player in his day…but he's older than his 31 years and consistantly injured.

    No thanks…

^ agreed. With his injury history, I can't see that he would be excited at the prospect of playing on a plastic pitch at BMO week in, week out.

I'd love to see a player of his quality in the league but I really doubt it will be with us.

I guess I should clarify that I think that formation would work without us having to sign Ljungberg.

I might be a little more optimistic about his desire to play here if he had made the Hammers squad for the All Star Game; I assume it was a turf related issue. I like Ljungberg, don't get me wrong, but I would have to agree with TB's assessment.

With that said, I would be one of the first in the queue for a Ljungberg TFC jersey though

Last thing we need is a winger with Robert and Ricketts. Plus we have an attacking midfielder in Guevara already

That is what TFC has used under Carver. I would like signing him, but it is highly unlikely at this point.

If we're spending DP money it's on a striker

This is what we WERE using before Dichio's injury.....a lone striker with the current healthy roster is not a good idea.

If theer was ever an antagonist in soccer in my opinion is Freddy Ljunberg...when he was at Arsenal he was whinny and carried hymself like he was one of the top 3 players at the club...

I really dislike him...either way he wouldnt come

we dont need a midfielder pffft, we would be retarded not to take a player of his quality regardless about whether we need a midfielder or not. To be honest I think we could use someone in every position except for keeper.

Agree with the entire post with the exception of the last three words. At this point in time, do we seriously believe that the team wouldn't improve with Ljunberg's addition? I think he would be an amazing signing but he'll find a European club, no problem.
