Default Other MLS Games This Weekend - June 25-27

All kickoff times are as per MLS website

Games in Red are worth watching IMHO for some reason or another

    Friday

Orlando @ Miami 8:38pm - as some wag called it, the Hydration Break Derby - fully expect Orlando to wipe Miami in this one but the cigarette smoking man is supposed to play after some time to "train" so who knows

    Saturday

LAFC @ SKC 5:38pm - If LAFC is going to crawl back towards the top of the West, they need to start winning some away games - this might be a step too far

Philly @ Chicago 8:08pm - Chicago is just not very good

Houston @ RSL 8:08pm - another one of those mid table west clashes that usually ends in a home win or a draw

Montreal @ Nashville 8:38pm - Montreals defence is still little too chaotic

Vancouver @ Seattle 9:11pm - Mismatch - Seattle's midfield is just soooo much better then Vancouver can deal with

LAG @ SJE 10:08pm - Not sure it will be a classic but the difference in styles is worth a watch

Minnesota @ Portland 11;38pm - too frenetic to fall asleep to - see any highlights the next day

    Sunday

NYRB @ Atlanta 3:38pm - Young guns vs the "not doing quite as good as they think they should be" guns

DCU @ NYC 6:08pm - worth a peak to see how DCU plays - we play them next week - problem is, its that pigeon box so maybe won't get much of an idea from this one

Columbus @ Austin 8:25pm - the cowards at MLS wouldn't do this game the other way around in CBUS - not sure if CBus will be more motivated but really do hope they pummel the verde in this game - the stadium is loud though

NER @ Dallas 9:08pm - Carlos Gill is having a year so far that is mindblowing - 10 assists already - the nearest is 5

By cigarette smoking man, I did not mean Jay Chapman who gets a RARE start.

Nani with the wonder goal but he tries 3 shots a game like that & eventually one is bound to go right.

WAAAY more impressed with the first Orlando goal. Long pass out of the back, 1 hop, Nani loops it high right to a speeding Mueller who volleys it in straight.

A bit less rare than we might think - 8 appearances, 5 starts. Played the 90

Chapman also assisted on the goal.
However, he also gave it away with a clumsy back heel in Orlando's 18 and it lead to the Nani goal

Orlando is just a good team. Would not be surprised to see them in MLS Cup this year.

The Fire are leading the Union 3-2. If they maintain this lead TFC will reside in the basement of MLS.

The Whitecaps lead the Sounders somehow.

To make everyone's night worse, Montreal tied Nashville 1-1.

“Years have gone by and I’ve finally learned to accept myself for who I am: a beggar for good football.

I go about the world, hand outstretched, and in the stadiums I plead: ‘A pretty move, for the love of God.’

And when good football happens, I give thanks for the miracle and I don’t give a damn which team or country performs it.”

    -Eduardo Galeano
