Woof. Everything about this is ugly. From the performance of both teams to the camera angle to the pitch. Also, get Endoh and Akinola off.

Games on this pitch are always an abomination - takes a bit of quality to do anything. Soteldo doing well, as is Jozy who is all over the pitch right now. Ugly game but what are you going to do on that band box.

Is it my imagination or does Soteldo kinda look like he could be the evil brother of Rick Moranis? lol

I'd way rather be a nomad team as opposed to have to play at Yankee Stadium every home game.

I've honestly been giving this game maybe 50% attention at best due to the terribleness of the angles and pitch

So far this has been yet another low quality match.
But we should go for the win, we were clearly better.

    exactly

as long as we're not doing rare, unseen errors, we should be fine

Yankee Stadium has always sucked for footy, but I don't remember the camera angles being this bad in the past. Does anyone know, did they actually make the camera placement worse?

He was the same while playing - never struck me as the kind of guy who'd try his hand at punditry. But hey, let's get rid of one of the best footy minds in the country to bring JDG aboard. (I'm actually ignorant to what happened with KJ, but I'm bitter.)

Hopefully Jozy's pressing today puts the "hes lazy " narrative to bed on these boards. he's doing everything that Armas could ask and if anything its Ayo that looks tired.

He doesn't seem comfortable on his left foot at all. He has cut back onto his right every time he has run at the defender.

Might be time for Dwyer. Both Ayo and Jozy's races look to be run.

I want to hear Armas explain that abhorrent fucking keeping from Alex Bono. Bench him. Bench him now. Don’t gaslight the fan base with this “top tier”, “solid performance” bullshit.

I’m going to wildly speculate here that having diversity in the on-air personalities was one of the goals in all this.

If true, totally valid in my opinion. The people they have calling the games aren’t as diverse as the viewership or the players on the field. It’s ridiculous this has persisted for so long.

Now that said, I fail to understand why they fired their best soccer person with someone who doesn’t really seem to take naturally to bring on TV. There are lots of former players out there who are diverse and capable of being on air? Why not hire them? Why not get rid of basically any of their other on-air soccer personalities (they’re all completely mediocre) instead of KJ?

lol. if that doesn't bring back Q as starting GK, Armas is blind
“Years have gone by and I’ve finally learned to accept myself for who I am: a beggar for good football.

I go about the world, hand outstretched, and in the stadiums I plead: ‘A pretty move, for the love of God.’

And when good football happens, I give thanks for the miracle and I don’t give a damn which team or country performs it.”
