I don't think I've seen anything from Shaffelburg that indicates he has any technical advantage over Nelson. He's also like 4 years older.
Our passing ability has been generally quite poor. Seems like this new style has us off loading balls before figuring out where it needs to go. Sometimes not even looking where the pass needs to go to.
We are wasting Laryea right now, playing like this. And let’s be honest, that’s our best hope of a goal with this lineup.
Its even worse than that because blasting it up the field as soon as possible just gets it to Deleon or Nelson and doesn't let players like Laryea catch up. We end up with 1v 1s instead of overloading runs into the box. It's frantic and doesn't lead to chances.

Plus TFC not taking advantage of approx. 4 really good opportunities that were mostly given to them by RB. Feels like one of those games where that will come back to bite us, unless Soteldo can change things up. Problem is, RB will crowd him with 3 or 4 players to take him out of the game, and we don't have anyone who can take advantage of the opportunities that will open up.
The result of two teams pressing quickly, who are both not exactly barcelonesque in their ability to maintain possession, operate quickly, or operate in tight spaces. While I was typing this, the game stream was running on the other screen, which I could see in my peripheral vision. Camera panning back & forth, back & forth, and so on, as if operated by a Roomba, as the ball ping ponged back and forth between the two sides.
