Default Other MLS Games This Weekend - April 16-18

A reminder that we only play 2 teams in the West - Vancouver in a week in Florida then a late season trip to RSL

Times this year, if I can spot them, are kickoff

    Friday

San Jose @ Houston 8pm - Only interesting for the man to man marking

    Minnesota @ Seattle 9:55pm
    - might be interesting - the Loons are a lot of people's dark horse this year

    Saturday

Atlanta @ Orlando 3pm - second half might be fun - get the feeling Atlanta is more brittle mentally then they let on

Austin @ LAFC 6pm - this year's hipster newbies (as much as a team run by Precourt can be one) vs the recent hipster newbies

NYC @ DCU 8pm - both teams are REALLY playing the underdog card this season

Colorado @ Dallas 8pm - TFC West vs. Underspenders FC

SKC @ NYRB 8pm - we play RB in 3 weeks

NER @ Chicago 8:30pm - hipster dark horse in the east goes to Chicago

Cinci @ Nashville 8:30pm - come for the guitar solo - stay for the sleep aid

    Sunday

LAG @ Miami 3:23pm - Vanney West vs. Neville & Friends

Philly @ Crew 5:55pm - Worth watching to see if all they hype about Shield & Cup holders is truth

Portland "@" Vancouver 10pm - Not sure how bad the Caps will be - a game to look at the score in the morning about

Wow, there were a couple of beautiful goals last night. Joao Paolo for Seattle, Paul Marie for San Jose.

Also, here's a blast from the past - Tyler Pasher (!) with a beautiful assist to Max Urruti - for Houston.

Looks like Canadian Pasher got the start and full game for Houston. He was in on the second goal by Urruti.

St.Clair is gonna get a lot of time to shine with that back line in Minnesota giving up so many shots. Great penalty save and he got hung out on the first 2 goals but St. Clair could've done better on the last 2.

One thing I appreciate about the new mlssoccer.com website, and I hate most of it, is that when you click on a match, you can get the actual kick off time.

But in this Beckham FC vs Vanney FC game, tv listing time, 3pm. KO time 323pm. ugh

Oh, and if you think Jozy is lazy around the pitch, watch Gonzalo Higuian. I get the temperature/humidity thing but the guy is walking.

at least he can hustle when he wants to. made it so easy for Robbie Robinson to tap in for the goal

now Chicharito on the other hand. he's the MLS 1.0 DP just playing for a big paycheck

Surely I’m not the only one that wants to see the Galaxy crash and burn?

If LAG somehow takes on effinteam effinworks, that is going to be a BIG culture change for the West.
