Gotta feel bad for Lindsay though. He was on track to have a strong career before he wrecked his knee in that snowmobile accident.
I know he felt he got a raw deal and was never given a chance to re-earn his place once recovered, but that would seem to be long odds.
Looks like TFC is looking at brazil again for a defender. I doubt it happens at that price though

Would be quite the get.
That looks like agent talk & as we happen to be the most recent known MLS team name, we just get thrown in there.
Not sure how it would work looking at the details. He would have to be a DP and we would need an international slot for him.
Wálter Kannemann is 30.
Maybe it's a loan with an option to buy next year. This is the last year of Jozy's contract? Would be nice if they could pull a Pavon type loan for a CB.
But likely bullshit.
could it be like 7mil in brazilian currency which is like 1.3 us i think?
maybe a loan??how is he rated, seems like a tough left footed defender can play cb or lb
Tom Bogerts mlssoccer article states, per s source, that TFC is primed to make another acquisition in this primary transfer window.
Whenever (if ever?) Toronto get to full strength -- which is likely to include another acquisition before the Primary Transfer Window closes, per source -- TFC's familiar 4-2-3-1 could be a solution to maximize their attacking talent.
Altidore out and a winger + CB/LB hybrid would just be amazing. A Gressel type and another younger version of Mavinga would be amazing. Those are probably the next 2 moves with hopefully atleast 1 coming in the next transfer window.
I wish they could go faster with bringing in players. We seem to always bring in our top talent just weeks after CCL

TFC would have to buy Altidore out at this point. Nobody would take him on more than a few hundred grand at this moment.
Hard to see the business case for that, given that there is some chance he turns it around.

Doesn't the non-cap buyout have to be in the offseason? In which case, buying out Jozy midseason wouldn't free up a slot?

I'm betting that they are going to try to bring him back to effectiveness. He looked off the pace mentally to me - not used to the speed of the game - rather than physically (although I know others think that. he has lost a step). his touch was terrible - shockingly so - but he put a shift in from my perspective.
It’s funny everyone is on him for this last game because I think that’s was actually better than he looked at any point last year. At least he tried to get on the ball and provide a presence in the middle.
All this said, I feel like we’re talking about justifying someone’s position on a roster, like we would with Jordan Hamilton, rather than speaking about one of our highest paid players.
It's true. We shouldn't spend years trying to justify our highest paid players use on the roster. Yet here we are again.
As one of the highest paid players in the league more should be expected than continuously "rounding into form" like he has been for a few years now.
Check out this tweet at https://twitter.com/joshuakloke/status/1388141360952262666
This is likely for the best for everyone. It was clear Fraser wasn't going to get much playing time. This also opens up a roster spot. All the best to Fraser and hope he's able to return to TFC and actually get some playing time.
Have to wonder if it’s a loan with an option to purchase. What’s in it for the Crew otherwise?
The Waking the Red Website just put up black crepe
Aidan Morris is out for the season so he's likely filling that hole on their roster. You sly ol' Viper Bez
You can see the tears in Kloke's eyes even through that tweet. He was Liam Fraser's hype man until Delgado sent him some laughing face emojis after Kloke suggested that Fraser should be starting in his place.
kinda weird they are loaning him to a div rival and not out west.
maybe now they can loan mullinho to santos gemio or vaughan azzurri

If this is his final season under contract as Michael Singh reports, why not a trade for some minimal GAM, draft pick, something, instead of a loan
