Asked on Friday if Altidore has made the trip to Columbus with the team, Curtis told the Toronto Sun (via text): “Can’t say for competitive reasons.”
Does he realize how stupid this sounds? Good god Ali.

How the eff did this guy get an extension?
By when do injuries have to be reported as per league rules (relative to each game)?
Sad we’ve gone back to being the laughing stock of the league. These are the types of seasons where it feels like a chore putting the effort in to watch live or on TV. Honestly I’m glad I haven’t paid any money to TFC this year. I’m looking forward to next season as I’m expecting a fresh start driven by the excitement of bums back in seats at BMO. New coach, GM, and Jozy replaced with a new DP.
In the meantime let’s invest in playing time for the kids this year and get something positive out of the season.
If it ain't broke don't fix it.
Whatever his coaching skills are Armas must be one hell of a salesman to pitch the change to the style of play for TFC.
This is all pure speculation but Altidore has been the one in previous instances to get into trouble for speaking out and in all situations it was due to something about injuries. 1. TFC letting go of a preferred trainer (was brought back after Altidores comments) 2. TFCs handling of Bradley’s injury. 3. And now we have him supposedly calling them out for getting subbed but clearly there was more for him to be asked to train on his own.
The timing of this is quite peculiar too. Soteldo just got hurt and I bet they found it it was for months, Osorio is out with the same injury. Gonzalez is questionable with a thigh injury and Dwyer is out with a thigh injury.
Altidore has always been the wear your heart on your sleeve guy for this team and I can see him pushing back on the training sessions and or the tactics as it has not resulted in points but it keeps getting key guys injured. No one else on this team will have the balls to do that and or willingness to put their playing time in jeopardy. Whatever Altidore said that caused him to be shuttered out of team training was probably needed but it probably went overboard too because the guy cares so much about this team and being a winner. To me, he’s like one of us in the locker room, expects the best every single day and will call it out when things are going sideways.
I’ve been supportive of Manning and Curtis thus far but with the roster we have there it’s not acceptable for us to have 1 win through 6. I also think it’s premature to fire a coach and that they need time but I think we’ll know come late summer if this bandaid needs to be torn off.

Besiktas fan paper lists Richie among their off-season targets (along with Andros Townsend, among several others).

Why couldn't they have let Armas train alone on Saturday?
Ali Curtis "we arrive at a resolution that is in the best interests of the club — and moves us closer to being in a position to win a championship"
So, Armas and Altidore both out?
In case people miss it in news, Westberg is tactful but makes it clear everything has changed.

Long interview.
He also went at length about periods before coming to TFC indicating stuff changes in this game & he knows it.
I hope he gets his shot again, he deserves it. I'm not completely sold on that comment about the weight room & coaches is about Armas but its clear he liked Vanney, who understood how Q plays. Not sure Armas gets Q's game.
Molinaro interview with Curtis (BUY A SUBSCRIPTION PEOPLE)
Tidbit in all this - Soteldo was carrying a knock. "He was carrying a little something in his leg, but he has a really high tolerance for pain." i.e. We will see better from him then what he presented.

Not that it matters after the acquisition of Kemar Lawrence, but I've been told that 34-year-old MLS veteran Seth Sinovic was in training camp with Toronto FC. The left-back made over 250 appearances with Sporting Kansas City and is still currently a free agent.

“Years have gone by and I’ve finally learned to accept myself for who I am: a beggar for good football.
I go about the world, hand outstretched, and in the stadiums I plead: ‘A pretty move, for the love of God.’
And when good football happens, I give thanks for the miracle and I don’t give a damn which team or country performs it.”
-Eduardo Galeano
Interesting. Some strong words from Westberg. Pretty much saying the club has reinvented itself instead of doing some minor tweaks. Not a good outlook in my opinion. Don't change what ain't broken.
And the day after, seems we all need to learn to not use google translate

That was absolutely not what the article originally said. This version he specifically says he doesn't know where they'll be based out of next month but when I read it last night "I don't know where we're going" was all the detail I got. Also the last line about surviving the season made no mention of his family in the original.
The current story may well be more accurate, and KJ's tweet makes it more likely that it is, but they 100% edited the article last night after catching wind of the shit-storm this article caused. Either because it was poorly written by the journalist or because Westberg actually did mean what everyone thought he meant.
Edit: I hope for everyone's sake it's the former, but I can't deny the original article fits far better with the sentence in the middle about playing a high press with ball-players (and that one doesn't seem to have changed!)

The article was 100% changed. I can read French. Yesterday, there was no mention of "my family and I". They changed the context to it being about location (ie. Florida/Toronto/Connecticut) now. Maybe that's what it should have been all along and they missed something, but that's not what it was in English or French yesterday
That's very interesting, because the original link to the story went bad after a while, and then it was re-posted at a new URL.
Here's proof the article was editted. Here is the archive view from yesterday

Here is the current version:

So, it's not that the article was poorly translated. The article was altered after the fact. Maybe the new article is what was supposed to be written, but it is definitely not what was written last night.
The original dead link appears to be the same as the original version of the article at the new link. Here's an archived link
