Just an epic performance. Perhaps the greatest upset in franchise history.

Bradley was a beast and the kids stepped up big time.

We would've lost both legs probably by 2-3 goals each. With Armas, the press totally threw Leon off. They couldn't play out of the back, while under Vanney that's exactly what they would've done, with our team sitting back. With Vanney we also would've seen Bradley at CB over Singh, then Morrow and DeLeon starting over Okello and Shaff (with Laryea probably playing midfield). Fraser probably would've started as well. This matchup really suited Armas's style and not Vanney's for sure.

What a result! Excited to see this press against MLS teams and how much these young guys keep maturing through the year. We're going to be better in October than we are now based on their development curve alone.

Looking ahead to the next CCL game, for anyone with the full month of OneSoccer Cruz Azul (who we play next) plays America (who we could meet in the final) on Saturday at 10pm. Within 2 pts of each other and fighting for league title with 3 games left. Should be entertaining and educational.

Would have no problem them playing a game without fans but Manning choosing that stadium & saying its open to fans is an own goal.

I think opening up a stadium like that and being able to draw a big crowd would be the reason behind going that route. Opening up Orlando's stadium vs. Vancouver might not be worth the effort as there are costs the moment you turn on the lights. The CSA likely had the same thoughts with the WCQ vs. Bermuda. I think at that time capacity in Florida was 25%.

Has he said it's open to fans?

This is the bit from the Athletic and it doesn't mention anything about fans

"Manning said that they’ll play the home leg of their CCL quarterfinal series against Cruz Azul in late April at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa."

I guess we all know that had to have been Jozy. As much as its annoying that he's always injured, we can't deny that he does love playing for this team and things like that show it.

It seemed like they raised the camera angle at about the 30 min mark!

If there was one nice thing I thought of the low angle, is that when they play was close to it, you could really see the players battling it out, and how they took on each other when on a 1 v. 1 basis!

That was awesome but that’s not Jozy. Way too bulky. And it could have gotten Jozy in big trouble for the next game.

Do we know when we’re playing Cruz Azul?

Regardless of whom it was....the commitment of this team to use all the CONCACAF dark arts is so refreshingly passive-aggressive Canadian.

Like, that moment is up there with the fireworks outside the Sounders hotel.

My favourite remains Priso sitting on the ground in a Canadian apologetic way and then using the stretcher to prop himself up and slowly walk off the field.

Surprised Leon didn't just play on with the stretcher on the field. They (and the ref) had no issues with them restarting play while DeLeon was still on the ground...

That officiating crew was such a joke. I’m glad our bench was in their face about it.

Personally, i think MLS, CSA, USSF really has to go hard at CONCACAF about this sort of stuff. Where any value in TV contracts are going to come from. If you want us to play along, give us a fair shake.

    Cruz Azul games confirmed for:

Tuesday April 27 at 10pm (“home”)
Tuesday May 4 at 10.15pm (away)

No idea why the first leg is so late, TV I guess.

The Whitecaps game on the 24th will be a pain, but then we have no game on the first weekend of May, so the team has 8 days between Game 1 & Game 2.

Huge upset. Both legs felt like magic. So happy that they persist no matter what the lineup. Can't wait to see what magic can be repeated vs Cruz Azul.
