This all sounds good. Let's see how long it takes to actually approve or decline it.

Although, I have two shots done. I will be hesitant in returning. But, I want the team to be in our own home again. TFC playing in Florida, Canadian team playing in Chicago and yet they go to Haiti is just wrong.

    Time to figure this out.

Yeah. The priority right now should be getting all the Canadian teams back home. Worry about the plan to get fans back in the stadium afterwards.

Coming out of the "Trying to book an appointment" mines for a moment

Saw this & there seems to be a 7 day quarantine still necessary - that might be federal & about to change.

    This should be priority #1.

For all I care they can hold off fans until 2022 just as long as TFC can play at BMO ASAP.

    Agree.
Hell even if they had to play Montreal and Vancouver a few times to make up for games, just bring them back home.
At this point, having them back in the country would be progress. Even if it was in Vancouver or Montreal.

I am happy to have been able to book my second shot of AZ today for tomorrow. After seeing this, I am even more happier, it truly is a piece of mind.

Judging by what Canada's Wonderland released today and with what other teams with fans in attendance currently have set up I am more optimistic about fans in the seats in probably August. Hopefully they will be able to return home to BMO at the start of July. I can see for fans in attendance at least to start, lowered capacity and subject to screening and temperature checks upon entry.

The most important thing is getting the team home, we can work on fans in the stands later

And just Ontario, Vegas / Montreal Game 3 is going to be in Montreal and in front of fans and they are not going to wait 7 days.

They got an exemption from the federal government on those rules.

The Ontario re-opening plan has basically placeholders throughout that are federal areas of responsibility. If we can get a border agreement June or July 21, and there's a lot of pressure now to do that, some of the more problematic/difficult to implement parts of the re-opening plan will be gone.

looks like border is staying closed until July 21, we'll see if that has any effect on them coming home to play games

The plans are being announced on Monday for Canadian and PRs to have shortened quarantine periods upon returning to Canada. This should at least make it easier to attend games in the US. Can't wait.

It will have an effect. They won't be able to play at home until those restrictions are lifted. Maybe there is an off chance a separate deal can be negotiated with the feds like the one the Montreal Canadians are getting but I doubt it. Damn that really sucks.

It's only a few weeks, it's too late for this but theoretically it would be a good time for a few games vs. Vancouver & Montreal. Too bad, maybe they could have waited to schedule those games. Especially since both TFC & Montreal have already played the single game vs. Vancouver that's scheduled for this season.

This affects 3 more home games

    Cinci
    Orlando (again)
    NYRB

In theory, first home game can not be until August 1 vs. Nashville.

10 more home games after that.

CFL training camps are opening on July 10th and Health Canada has given the league 60,000 rapid Covid-19 tests to use, but the big question in my mind is how are they getting their American players across the border, they have not received an exemption as of yet?

So, I read that July 5th the border is opening to fully vaccinated people. Anyone not vaccinated still has to do the 14 day thing. Nothing about sports, but this will pretty much ban someone like Nick DeLeon from playing road games.

As expected, travel quarantine restrictions removed as of July 5

(non- essential travel to & from States remains restricted)

    Edit: Snap - Mike wins

It applies to Canadians and still doesn't allow non-essential travel. I don't think this will really effect TFC.

This is great to hear, even if we can not be at BMO at least we can hit up a road game if we so choose. I will be considered fully vaccinated as of June 29th. Walgreens does free covid tests now, with results back in 24 hours. Sometimes much quicker if its quiet. Looking at Aug 4th at Philly to start things off.

It applies to Canadians, permanent residents, and foreign nationals that can currently enter Canada. My understanding is that since the travel is for employment purposes, TFC players would be able to cross the border.

I don't think teams coming in can though, or non-Canadians or non-permanent residents in Canada, which is probably more than half the team.

I haven't seen the official announcement, but the bolded appears to be the case looking at the CBC article:

The easing also does not apply to foreign nationals who are not already exempt from the border restrictions. Ottawa announced Friday it would be continuing existing restrictions at the Canada-U.S. border for at least another month, until July 21.
"At this time, the Government of Canada continues to strongly advise Canadians to avoid non-essential travel," said Public Safety Minister Bill Blair.

Might try for something in late September. I wanna be able to do a TFC game and a Blue Jays game on the same weekend. That Cinci game on the 29th and the Jays/Yankees series on the same weekend looks appealing.

    How to put in tweets

First type in tweet surrounded by [ ]
then copy of link to the particular tweet
then type in /tweet surrounded by []

Once you do it 10 times a day in various forums, you get used to it
