Default Could Toronto and the other two CDN teams play among themselves again in 2021?

With the border restrictions still in place and even more after the further measures in place, I wonder how much thought is going into having the three Canadian play among themselves again as such as they did for the middle part of the season last year?

I do agree that if they did play among themselves for say the first 12 games of the season at home there would be competitive balance issues at some point of the equation. Especially if one of them gets off to a bad start or good start. In 12 games say a team had 20-25 points how would you fairly integrate them back into the overall standings. I agree it may not be ideal but to start things off it may be better than having the team based out of the US again. I am sure the players and coaches would rather spend their nights in their owns beds.

FWIW BC is apparently discussing an inter provincial travel ban. It’s impossible to say what will happen with the MLS schedule at this point.

It seems way more likely that there will be a lockout until the summer or that the Canadian teams will have to spend the first half of the season in the US again.

At current projections the US will be open six months before Canada. If I was MLS I'd just base the Canadian teams in the US for the season.

I just wonder if the Canadian teams will want to do that, with that added costs that come with in and the already diminished revenues, especially for a full season? They played the 6 games among themselves in Canada and then the 12 based in the US, wonder if what the league would have done if the three teams had insisted on playing all 18 up here. It certainly would have caused an imbalance issue. Depending on when the season starts will also play a big part of how things move forward.
