SUM has the US rights to LigaMx, ElTri & CONCACAF. Losing the USMNT & USWNT is a drop in revenue growth, not a loss. There are no local MLS contracts past 2022 right now.
Speculation is SUM/MLS is going to bundle LigaMX with MLS as one big contract for one company to stream/broadcast english language rights.
Not sure the ramifications for Canada where OneSoccer/CSA has CONCACAF and currently has LigaMx. If ESPN were to get MLS, TSN would likely get it as well. But I'm having problems imagining MLS/SUM cutting out one of its partners (MLSE) from a deal.
TSN does a crappy job at streaming things - they don't have enough streams available for the products they own. Rogers/Sportsnet Now seems to have figured it all out.
