Bradley no longer is good enough to be starting against all teams.

In the second half versus Miami, he charged forward, but that was versus a team with no real DM presence. Red Bulls are basically 2 WB's, 2 CB's and 6 DM's.

Okay, so we need to score three and NE has to score one. No problem.

I want to know why our wingers seem to be floating around the pitch without defensive responsibilities. When we lose the ball we get fucked.

Its not going to happen but I'd like to see Priso replace Bradley and Altidore come in for Endoh & see what a 4-4-2 can do - just the last 30 minutes.

WTF is Pozuelo doing at the sideline on our side of the field? He picks up the ball and dribbles the ball into 5 NY players. He doesn't trust anyone else to bring the ball forward today.

There is no point to having Endoh and Deleon. Yes they try, but it hamstrings our midfield for passing options up the field. They dont have speed to keep defenders honest or the skill to finish. Slow on defense, slow in the midfield and slow on the wings is not a great strategy against a team who is going to press you like crazy. The book on how to beat TFC is out.

Ball is making it to midfield and game is crying out for someone to pop up in between the lines to break the press.

What’s that in the corner of the screen? It’s Endoh JOGGING 2 ft from a defender. No wonder we can’t beat the press, there’s no movement off the ball.

Endoh and DeLeon are guys who run hard when the play is right in front of them but aren’t smart enough to anticipate the play. Honestly how can this be the quality of backup winger we have 3 years after it was beyond obvious this was a need?

Those 2 still play in the double pivot, but they provide each other space and don't slow build up play. Team still needs wingers. Piatti is really the only true winger Vanney likes to play.

I always thought that looking at total money spent on rosters proportional with the results, TFC is the biggest underachiever in the history of MLS.
I mean how many times was TFC the biggest spender, or in the top 3 biggest spenders per season? And even in the first 4-5 years, when we where really really bad, we were decent spenders on team roster.
And what can TFC show for all this? 1 Shield and 1 Cup. Too little!

We spent 45 minutes slowly building the play only to pass it back to the CBs. 60% possession no shots.

This feels like that dreadful game against NYRB in the old football stadium. Things start going bad, and there's no positive response by TFC.

Not only is Bradley playing very poorly (just saw the replay of the NY goal on the corner, OMFG twice Bradley screwed up in the lead-up to that, as well as a few others). But he is way too Zen as a captain in a situation like this. Things go badly, everyone keeps jogging around, no turnaround and no fire. And Vanney traditionally too much in the ivory tower. Let's see if there's any change, maybe a little urgency in the 2nd half?

Only chance might be some Altidore & Akinola magic to score three goals. More realistic is throw on 4 kids soon, rest the best 4 players to avoid more injuries before the playoffs. (W/o Laryea and Piatti in the playoffs, we're pretty much screwed.)

How is DeLeon not ready to run for that? Certain goal scoring chance if he was only thinking one step ahead

2021 supporter - Oso is going to need the rest after that injury so Priso on is fine & good for us

2020 supporter - Will nobody rid of us of this troublesome need to prop up Bradley circa 2020 as the same as Bradley circa 2014-2018?

MLS is a league set up to achieve parity. The league doesn't want dominant teams like they have in Europe, as it hurts attendance if you are not one of the dominant teams. The league is set up to give everyone a shot. MLS Cup is a crap shoot and tends to favour teams peaking at the end of the season. Unfortunately we are playing at our worst going into the playoffs.

Yup, best teams in the league is always the top team in the supporter's race.

MLS Cup is a crap shoot - fun but no recognition of true strength

I hear you. Certainly 1-2 higher paid signings won’t save you if the rest of the roster is crap and the “rest” of the roster is bought with similar dollars across all teams.

However, the idea that parity exists here due to the cap is overblown. Someone did a study of results in MLS and the best predictor of performance was still wages paid by team (as it generally is in all sports). The correlation was nearly as strong as it was for some other leagues with a less stringent salary caps.

So anyway, my long winded point is, money can still buy you success

Priso is very positive with his passing. Finally someone looking to put the ball up field to get players moving vertically.
