Almost another goal gifted later by Zavaleta. And yeah very bad by Omar on DC’s goal. 2nd problem was the very high line on that play. Suicidal by TFC with their fast CB missing, and DC has some quick players. Which means we will see that often tonight. 3rd problem honestly: Pozuelo’s pass to Omar was a bit too hard considering how close he was, and not accurate enough considering Omar’s vulnerable position on that moment.

Morrow off. Zavaleta off. Now. Don’t even wait for the half.

Jozy doesn’t care still but what are you gonna do

I agree that Altidore has been pretty invisible lately...but if he can score a goal, like he did in Montreal, then I won't complain!

BTW, great defending with that header by Zavaleta. I actually think that he has been the better centerback tonight.

Remember he's been dealing with Achilles issues.

But yeah, bring on Gallacher at the half.

This season is starting to feel like 2018.
One mediocre performance after another. It seems like the players are just waiting for the season to end.

We do not play good at all.
Very shaky defense, no real scoring chances except the gift we got from DC.
Is a player named Jozy on the field today? (Is that that big guy jogging around?)

Jozy going to score one I think - has that look about him. Needs service. A few to many times that Poz ignored Laryea open on the right and brought it back in to do some figuring.

Zavs is a very simple defender - not really at this level anymore unless he gets a run of games. I like how he is no nonsense about the ball at the back and just hoofs it. He isn't the issue in our back right now.

DC likely to bring in a sub - don't make a change yet.

    We’re set up wrong tonight.

Vanney is a great coach but he’s wedded to the short pass, which most of the time in MLS makes sense, as a team that can control the clock has an advantage over hardworking-but-sloppy clubs.

tonight, Olsen has set them up to sit back and counter, making breaking them down much harder. We should move the bac line back and build slower, force them to move up from the back more.

I think Poz is the one wedded to the short pass - he is a magician but he's warping this team around his cleverness. Vanny is wedded to quick passing and moving it from side to side.

If we build slower, DCU would just park the bus & still counter. TFC needs to move the ball faster and use the width more.

Akinola just contributed more to the buildup in the first two minutes than Jozy did in the first half

Can you imagine being a DCU fan with Ben Olsen there for years....the complete lack of enjoyable football apart from the Rooney days would drive people in here away from the team.

We have done a great job of stealing the ball from them when they try to move forward toward our end. Also some nice passes moving the ball up.... just craving one final touch for a goal.
