That’s a decent result all things considered - finishing second and getting Philly may even be better than finishing first and potentially getting Seattle....

Should have brought Jozy in earlier.

Caldwell still the worst soccer analyst in my lifetime. Mavinga clearly MOTM. Bono has to remove that baby oil from his gloves. Shaffelberg not MLS quality, yet. Rest of the team played well.

We need to be far better in the final third. Not liking the formation in the first half. Maybe Akinola and Altidore up top could show promise. Osorio come back soon

Hot as balls down there, do not envy that heat. Never fun to be in.

Needs to start next game when the team is on their front foot. Must have been hot as crap out there.

Any reason why Gallardo isn't getting more playing time?

I agree. Dunfield should be the colour commentator.

I think Shaffleburg is not a winger, he has stone feet, I think he could be a good leftback one day though.

OKello should convert to CB, he had a couple of nice blocks, reminds me of Matip.

I've lost faith in that project now. Seems like Piatti, Endo, Shaff, DeLeon, Laryea are all ahead in the wing depth, even Okello and Dorsey getting minutes over him and before we have to get Osorio minutes in midfield.

Any idea how long the contract is for? Can't be wasting TAM on the bench like that.

So we are either playing Saturday night at 10:30 vs Philly

    or

Sunday night at 8:00 vs Seattle (likely)

Looks like we're needing some help from both Canadian rivals. If Whitecaps can hold Chicago to a draw then Seattle would remain in 2nd.

VWFC look to be a solid, mid-table USL side. We’re lucky just to draw their opener. Wouldn’t be surprised if Chicago beat them 3-0.

Having TAM player like Gallardo that takes this much time to even try to get a sniff at the lineup you know things are not working out. This is not a homegrown low value contract we are talking about where guys need time to adjust to MLS. This reminds me of the Aketxe situation. Eventually we will just hear that he returned home and that he and TFC mutually parted ways.

I am just happy that I have two photos that he autographed for me in my all-time team album, takes care of that for my collection.

Some good video analysis of Akinola (there are prior tweets to these in the thread)
