So....the US ditched its youth soccer development approach and MLS has stepped in with a whole lot of US partners to create youth soccer divisions.

Not sure why? Jozy was at AZ; Jaap Stam wasn't.

In the VICE interview, Altidore added that he was “once close” to returning to the Netherlands. “I was in contact with Feyenoord when Jaap Stam was a trainer there,” Altidore said. “But it didn’t become concrete. I would love to play at a club like Feyenoord, AZ or PSV again. That would be great.”

Stam was at the helm at Feyenoord between July and October 2019.

Interesting - Feyenoord put out feelers last summer & it went nowhere. Cool with that. Reasons why stuff don't "become concrete" are varied but usually about $ & willingness to sell (which is also about $).

Who knew that Achara and Shaffleburg went to the same high school in the Berkshires?

Could be a while before we see again a world where a kid from Nigeria and a kid from Nova Scotia go to the same high school in Massachusetts

Shaffleburg mentioned it when they drafted him. Him and Shaff went to Berkshire and ran track together, played in the PDL together at Black Rock FC, and now at TFC.
