And I said among others LA would crumble, for anybody not looking only at their on paper performances.

LOLOLOL. SO you are saying a David Beckham led organization could not do it...I beg to differ.

Jozy is a full proven commodity in MLS for years....that is the difference. You are only speculating on the other. He is good...just not proven in the league yet.

He is proven in Liga MX, which is a better league though?

Well nobody knows what they'll have. Seems a silly argument atm.

But I don't really care who runs it. If they can duplicate Atlanta so quickly, I will be shocked.

On paper I'm sure theyll be scary. And I'm sure theyll make the playoffs... Which is why I was laughing that they're fans are upset.

They're gonna be good. No doubt. But I'd bet against them winning the Cup in their first year, all day long.

If he scores based on his average of .4 goals per 90 in Liga MX it would work out to like 12-13 goals there was an article on MLS.com stating as such. So really he’s exactly like Jozy except plays every game. So give me Jozy as if he plays 60-70% of the season he scores more goals then Pudilio

and I will but a pint on it?

woah......so they will score a lot and still lose by 3 -4 goals a game. Wonder if they will go after a back line as well. I like LC, hope he keeps his CANMNT form

Revs closing in on 23-year-old Polish forward Buksa as third DP.

Mariner scouting points to him being a solid signing.

Given how well they did with Gil and Bou, I wouldn't be surprised if this guy hits the ground running, which would give NE a nasty attack.

Given the Balotelli noise, I thought this was some interesting context.

Now that the deal is apparently done I never heard any mention that the Gals had to do anything for his rights. Probably a Bradley type situation. MLS wanted him in LA for so long that they wouldn't let any other team stand in the way so they made it happen.

Although it sounds like a non-issue in this case...Realistically, the league appears to have taken the stance that no player incoming to MLS will unreasonably be held hostage by discovery rights (a la Brian McBride).

It’s really about creating some perception of a single entity to keep domestic players negotiating rights to a minimum.

Even if Chicago had those rights and wanted the player (assume they would given marketing impact) if the player wanted La the league wouldn’t stand in his way. They’d get a small amount of allocation or TAM and that’s it

Chicarito is signed, says all the MLS media.

He's going to move the needle in terms of interest because he is a bonafide Mexican star but among the large group of EPL focused Anglos in the US, this is going to be laughed at as another retirement.

    Older star players.

We signed arguably the best player in the Belgian league last year, in his prime at 27, and got little to no publicity about it from US based MLS writers.

LAG signs a guy who wasn't playing all that much for a mid table LaLiga team and........OH MY GAWD THIS IS BIGGGER THEN BECKHAM!!!!

Edit: Yes, I get that it will move eyeballs among Mexican fans which is the largest group of soccer supporters in the US - they love him apparently.

But, the sizzle factor is way higher then the steak here and the US soccer media is very very prone to hero worship.

Not sure how good a player he'll be in MLS. He's been pretty average at last two teams. Could kill it in MLS though.

He scored 8 goals for west ham a year ago. That's 7 better than what Jozy has done in the EPL 🙈.

I expect 20 goals next year.

Fair enough. I was referring more to the sizzle star player. As in Beckham, Zatan and now chicharito for the huge Mexican population.

Chicarito is a very good signing still young enough, however, would have thought Chicago with it’s move back to downtown Chicago and Soldier Field would have made more sense. However, Chicarito in LA is crazy good luck getting a ticket to Galaxy games now , with the amount of Mexicans in that area and even the Mexicans that live nearby in Mexico that will be one hot ticket. Chicarito is easily the most popular Mexican player right now.
