No TFC finished with less points during the regular season than any of the remaining playoff teams in the west so even if TFC makes the MLS Cup final they can’t host. Also TFC finished with the less amount of points than the remaining teams in the east so TFC can’t host anymore playoff games in the east .

No Away victories on the first week. If there was ever any doubt how big an advantage the home 1 game knock-out ... there was a reason that there have been Hom/Away legs in the rest of the world. We are going to be in very tough to be the first away team to get a win.

NYCFC will have a stacked team vs TFC missing 4 key starters that won't be 100% fit if any of the 4 play...I hope we get some luck on Wednesday.

early odds are 50/50 that NYCFC are not going to beat us in 90 minutes.
ie: 50% chance tfc win or tfc tie after 90 minutes
odds are for 90 minutes, after 90 minutes if tied new odds are set.

Riding down to NYC on a bike with a friend. Hoping for a win but it's gonna be very tough. Bought general admission seats so I can pick who to sit with wearing red 😉

Well one good thing to take out of this and moving forward is the confidence it's given them...sure they are going to be tired after playing the full 120.
Haven't seen anyone mention that we have now tied our unbeaten record from 2017!!

What they won't have is home field advantage.

And I think at least 3/4 of our starters with knocks play. Jozy & Mavinga I expect to play. Mavinga always has leg issues and plays fine. He just turned an ankle. I think Omar will be okay. Delgado's groin issue worried me but he looked better by the end of ET. Wonder how it was yesterday? That one could be trouble.

The thing I don't get with the Delgado issue, you know he is tight. You have no more subs but you are up 5-1. Tell him to slow down.... play 10 men for the last 15 minutes, stretch it out and don't make it worse. You could tell he was feeling it. I love the warrior attitude and if it was our last game or 2-1 I might feel different. I really thought Marky was playing well, just don't want to lose him for the season but at least we have back up options.

TV deals and media availability rules, I guess.
That's exactly it. I remember reading that the League discovered they would get better ratings with mid-week playoff games. The conference finals are mid-week too.

Anybody have info on how to get tickets in the away section? I called NYCFC and they said to call TFC...have been waiting on hold for ages and no one’s picked up. If any of y’all are going to NYC for the game lemme know how to get a ticket!

Those who signed up for a Red Patch Boy's membership are already busy making plans together. Membership has its privileges.

I suggest you keep calling TFC.

deleted original response for being way too bitchy. We need all the good vibes. See everyone that makes the trip there sort of. No idea where the supporters section is so I've bought tickets elsewhere. still tonnes available.

Buy the cheapest tickets available, wear TFC gear and just join the TFC party in the stands. See you there!

    Hey all,

I'm a Canadian From Toronto, living in New York. What section should I buy at the Citi Field stadium to be with the Toronto FC supporters?

Usector posted away supporters are in 132 so if you can't get tickets from the FO then get them in 131/133 to be close to the action.

134 is actually the section right beside 132 and its $115 a ticket. Section 131 is $78. 133 is kind of below 132 and its sold out.

News from TFC training today, via Michael Leach @MLeach680News
"Gonzalez is in full training, Altidore is training on his own. Mavinga just left training early and Delgado has not been seen."

    Follow-up an hour later:
"Vanney says that Gonzalez trained today without the ball, which is not unusual. He suggests that Delgado and Mavinga are ok, should be ready to go. Altidore is progressing, remains day to day."

That's what I was saying. Just sit down and then get carted off. Better to rest it for the Union match in a couple weeks. Fuck Atlanta.

If I was a gambling man and I’m not, I’d guess that Altidore and Mavinga won’t play. I think Gonzalez will play and Delgado would be questionable at best. This is all just speculation though. I’m sure the question about injuries will come up when Vanney meets with media. #TFCLive

some speculation for the rumour mill. I hope those guys can get fit.

Mavinga made the trip according to TFC social media - but then at this time of year, they likely all are.
