Default The other CCL match Aug 14, MTL @ Calgary

9 pm after the TFC / Ottawa match.

Montreal is up 2-1 but missing Piatti due to injury and Cavalry is playing at home on their terrible pitch. Should be interesting and is being shown on Onesoccer.

Either side would be an interesting matchup for TFC. Montreal for the rivalry and the road trip, Cavalry for seeing a CPL team in the final.
MLS is a tough, physical league, that emphasizes speed, and features plastic fields, grueling travel, extreme weather, and incompetent refs. - NK Toronto

I'm cheering for an asteroid. As a Forge SSH I hate Cavalry already.

Calgary looking outclassed so far. Their mids have to know when to sprint back; guys dawdling behind and off the ball.

... and the Impact are through, setting up yet another classic Toronto / Montreal match up.

The Tor v Mtl rivalry should garner more interest overall I would imagine (at least in this part of the country) —- Less travel is probably not the worst thing for us as well.

Pasquotti....sign him up on TFC just for that bullet throw that turns any throw-in into a corner kick. Montreal had no idea how to handle almost any of his throws but Calvary just couldn't get a proper foot on it in the box to capitalize. Other than that the game was fairly blah...
