Default Other MLS Games This Weekend - August 10 -11 - Return of WHAT DO WE WANT?

    Saturday

NER @ Seattle 4pm - NER's streak ended at home versus LAFC & Arena has long had issues beating Seattle. What do we want? NER loss

Cincinatti @ Columbus 7:30pm - the first "Hell is Real" derby. New Cinci coach, old Columbus smell What do we want? Something fiery and nasty so that in the future both these teams are as distracted as we are when soon to be playing Montreal Draw

Minnesotta @ Dallas 8pm - Dallas rarely loses at home but the Loons are quietly building a decent away team. What do we want? Dallas plays more of our East rivals over the next few weeks, so them getting hot would be good for us. Dallas win.

RSL @ SKC 8:30pm - There is not tomorrow for SKC. Petke out still for his homophobic rant at refs. What do we want? SKC plays Orlando on Wednesday so a confidence boosting win would be good. SKC win

Montreal @ Chicago 9:30pm - The Fire did nothing in the trade time and seem to be playing out the string until next year. Montreal might play subs before the Voyageurs. What do we want? Chicago win

    San Jose @ Colorado 9:30pm
    - No talk of plague this week. Rapids played a weird one last week to beat Montreal 6-3. San Jose continuing to impress & looking dangerous for the playoffs. What do we want? San Jose has 3 games in a row against East teams in September - keep them rolling as long as possible. San Jose win

    Vancouver @ Portland 11:00 pm
    - Portland lost only once at home but only 3 weeks in 6 isn't good enough. Vancouver beat Cinci to stop the bleeding - but that was Cinci. What do we want? Vancouver has 4 games against East opponents but Portland has 5 and is likely the more dangerous team to play against down the stretch. Portland win

    Sunday

NYC @ Atlanta 3:55pm - NYC doing well without being spectacular. Atlanta desperately wants home field advantage in the East. What do we want? We are done with Atlanta but not NYC. A draw would keep both teams plugging along & also keep going the faint hope of TFC higher up the East.

Houston @ Philadelphia 6pm - Houston is in serious danger of not making the playoffs and need this to be a win. Philly is hot and cold. What do we want? Houston only has 1 east game left, at home against Orlando. A confident Philly keeps other teams on their toes. Union win

LAG @ DCU 7:30pm - Hype is Real but the balloon burst on this one with the news this week. LAG has lost 3 out of their last 4 but DCU has only 2 wins since May. DCU is in mental disarray. What do we want? Emphatic soul crushing DCU loss.

NYRB @ LAFC 10:30 pm - LAFC is just the best team this season. NYRB did not impress me last week. What do we want? Big LAFC win

Seattle losing at home to NER is...not helping.

Seattle comes back to score 2 in the 65’ and 66’. Hope they add another or hang on for the win!

That overturned goal NE had against Seattle was a joke. Frei with one of his classic penalty box blunders is scrambling around on the ground to corral the ball and NE scoops it up and bounces around and it goes in.

3-3 I’m the end. Not exactly what we need but I’ll take it. That said, this is starting to increase the pressure of TFC to get road points.

Beitashour with an absolutely sublime assist on second LAFC goal tonight.

    Sigh.

It's pretty unbelievable that San Jose and Vancouver both made the exact same mistake with Beitashour - letting him walk instead of giving him a modest pay raise when he was happy to stay - both got burned for it, and then we proceeded to do the exact same thing. And get burned ourselves.

You'd have thought Bez may have caught wind of the pattern.

Not to totally derail this thread but imagine signing a player and having him on the field and performing in less than 6 months.

Our execution on the signings this year looks farcical in comparison.
