This is really a sad state of affairs. Whitecaps are at rock bottom & to see how poorly they have responded to this scandal is just awful. It looks like an ownership clear-out is badly needed. If it wasn't for the scandal I'd say that maybe they should move to the CPL... but then again..what has the CPL done to deserve that?

LA might rest a few players for this one...but they will still win by 4 or 5.

There's a side of me that wants to watch this game for the same reason that people gawk at car wrecks.

Given the obvious mismatch... since it’s MLS, Vancouver will win 4-0.

Anyone who plays MLS Fantasy League knows you always load up with players from teams that are playing twice in one week but with Vancouver...is it really worth it?

Vancouver’s field is truly awful. Perhaps the worst in MLS after NER.

    William Hill +290 +300 -128 -
    WilliamHill.it +240 +270 +100 94.0%

They won nice, but not really big, just because LAFC wasn't a huge fav, the game being played at Vancouver.

I'm very sure if the game would've been at Los Angeles, the win odds for the Whitecaps would've been around +500.
But then of course they would have been losers with 2-3 goals...

Doneil Henry really stood out in the match.
We saw the relative parity of MLS with this match's result.

It's a good result for MDS. That's Whitecaps getting points from both LAFC and Seattle. What it is telling me is that the West Division might not be all that formidable. It's been lagging behind the East for a few seasons in terms of investment. The only big win against an East team was vs DC United...so maybe they just a on a lucky run for their opening sequence. TFC doesn't have anything to fear this year. With a couple of good signings we should be in contention for a Supporters Shield again.

Henry is like the Mavinga / Ciman defender who needs to be partnered with the organizer next to him. He on occasion makes exceptional plays to cut out passes to the forwards or make last ditch tackles.

He’s cut down the frequency of mistakes in his game but there’s still some work to do.

It’s nice to see MDS give some deserving Canadians a chance. Under the radar here is that Crepeau looks fairly good, just needs to clean up bits of his distribution. He looked like he was never going to get a shot a few years back

You do realize that CL quarterfinalists Ajax often play on plastic pitches and Pozo comes from a league where many of the pitches are turf as well.

So that means our loss last week in Seattle didn't actually count? Sweet! We're still undefeated.

Move TFC to Lamport and we’ll be permanently undefeated.

Let’s not make nomenclature jokes when he looked better than the entirety of our keepers going back years.

Definitely worth it. Three bench players got me 20 pts after the first game.

Vancouver came out to play, especially in the first half. Good value for that win.

Yes the loss didn'tt didn't count in my eyes.
We were not able to play to our strengths of sharp passes, crisp ball movement.
The ball bounces, it slows down the pace. It's Garbage playing on Astro turf.
PS: games at Yankee stadium don't count either

Not sure I get the reference but I don’t have an issue with how TFC has handled it’s keeper situation. Consider this something separate.

My observation would be Crepeau has always looked fairly good. Yet, if not for a fairly unique situation in Vancouver, where he gets to play as a domestic for a Canadian Coach, he probably doesn’t get this shot.

How many teams would have happily trotted out an average MacMath because at face value that sounded better than playing a Canadian? It’s still pretty stupid the number of hurdles our players have to jump through to get a chance in their own league.

He meant you shouldn't call Maxime Crepeau 'Crapeau' since he's one of our MNT keepers. He's saying it's disrespectful.
