Like 95% of the responses to the tweet announcing the deal are delighted Atlas fans
(Not a comment on if they are right. Just an observation and some of the responses are pretty funny)

This is Gonzalez for Hagglund, mostly
People need to calm down, imho
Going back to the Raps. Carry on.

Based on last years data, 15ish

Come on...thats just not true. He was an absolute force at LA, easily the best CB in MLS. https://www.mlssoccer.com/post/2019/...ks-mls-history
not as worried, played against way better teams in Mexico than here, should be fine.
This has definitely been in the mix for a long while, not a knee jerk reaction.
something to consider....people were holding the door for Jozy to leave when we signed his as well.....and he's been arguably our most important player through these past few years....
Atlas was unwilling to release him from his loan.
********
I look at this 2 ways - is there a MLS team that wouldn't want him? Nope
Secondly, we honestly won't know how crud he is until next season as CB's take months to bed down with their teammates - Ciman is only now starting to gel with Mavinga & Moor.
This is a move for 2020 & beyond.

It would be nice if we could score a set piece goal or two now. We are like the worst corner taking team in history.
Same here. I hope I'm wrong about OG, but a guy who was great on a stacked LA Galaxy team when Beckham was still around, in a league that didn't have Garber bucks flying, isn't someone who I think will be great in 2019+
I'm not convinced a MLS 2.0 defender is the solution in MLS 3.0. I'm hoping for the best but it just makes me think we are the island of misfit USMNT players. On the plus side, we can troll all the salty USMNT fans out there.
I mean, if it doesnt work out, Bruce Arena will probably do a trade for him.
Sorry. colleagues, I am away from TO at the moment
However, it this not about this defender begin better that what we currently have? Or having options at the back line?
Gosh, 30 for a defender is actually, rather young!
I'd be a little more skeptical if Curtis didn't fleece Cincy, which helped make this one possible. This isn't necessarily a bad signing, just a low floor/high ceiling situation. They did need someone with his characteristics.
Not privy to their TAM situation, hopefully there's enough to bring in a difference-making, sure-thing winger next month.
