Like 95% of the responses to the tweet announcing the deal are delighted Atlas fans

(Not a comment on if they are right. Just an observation and some of the responses are pretty funny)

Finally someone with the right mindset.

It’s MLS pretty much all cb’s have major flaws. Omar should be the best cb on the roster.

TFC still needs two attacking pieces.

How many TAM CBs are there in MLS at this point?

If OG plays well here it’s fine and he earns his money, but if he’s a flop this ends up being another bad TAM pickup to add to our list of bad TAM pickups and non-signings.

This is Gonzalez for Hagglund, mostly

People need to calm down, imho

Going back to the Raps. Carry on.

not as worried, played against way better teams in Mexico than here, should be fine.
This has definitely been in the mix for a long while, not a knee jerk reaction.

I'll agree he was very good five years ago. I'm just afraid that his best days are behind him. I guess we'll see.

something to consider....people were holding the door for Jozy to leave when we signed his as well.....and he's been arguably our most important player through these past few years....

Should have been Giancarlo, not Omar imo. I'll shut up now though. I don't have more energy for this FO.

I totally agree. Give this man a chance. His mls stats have very few flaws. Not saying it’s the best move made. But one that could definitely surprise us in the long run

I look at this 2 ways - is there a MLS team that wouldn't want him? Nope

Secondly, we honestly won't know how crud he is until next season as CB's take months to bed down with their teammates - Ciman is only now starting to gel with Mavinga & Moor.

This is a move for 2020 & beyond.

It would be nice if we could score a set piece goal or two now. We are like the worst corner taking team in history.

Same here. I hope I'm wrong about OG, but a guy who was great on a stacked LA Galaxy team when Beckham was still around, in a league that didn't have Garber bucks flying, isn't someone who I think will be great in 2019+

I'm not convinced a MLS 2.0 defender is the solution in MLS 3.0. I'm hoping for the best but it just makes me think we are the island of misfit USMNT players. On the plus side, we can troll all the salty USMNT fans out there.

We only had one guy who could ever really score off them but he wasn't good enough to nail down a starting spot.

If you’re a GM and a signing like this goes through on your watch, it’s yours.

If he wants to be a bag man and take other peoples orders while risking his own reputation that’s his problem.

Sorry. colleagues, I am away from TO at the moment

However, it this not about this defender begin better that what we currently have? Or having options at the back line?

Gosh, 30 for a defender is actually, rather young!

I'd be a little more skeptical if Curtis didn't fleece Cincy, which helped make this one possible. This isn't necessarily a bad signing, just a low floor/high ceiling situation. They did need someone with his characteristics.

Not privy to their TAM situation, hopefully there's enough to bring in a difference-making, sure-thing winger next month.

What is it about the signing that makes you say that? We dont really know Curtis yet; interested in your insights.

That's how I'm looking at it. He might be that leader that combines well with mavinga. Also might be signs moor doesn't have much left in his legs. Ciman might turn into the veteran depth moor guy.
