"It's on us in Toronto to find the right ways to reload, to obviously understand that our team will be different, not just with Seba gone but with Victor Vasquez gone as well," said Bradley.

"But that's football. The game doesn't stop for anybody, so we'll keep going and be ready to give everything to get ourselves back going in a real way this year."

Gotta love Bradley, I can't think of another athlete who's public statements are so focused on the on field success of the team above anything else

So many reporters right now including Kelly are showing they don't have a clue about the soccer world, MLS rules or the key info on both sides of the TFC/Giovinco situation in general. Pretty annoying and the sad fact is that the casual fan will read this crap and take it as gospel.

Kelly nails it. Sure Gio left petulantly, but management should have found a way to keep him - starting with offering to take up his option as part of a package as not doing it was surely an insult from Gio's perspective. It looks like they overplayed their hand and are scrambling at the last minute - as someone said, its December 24 and you all you have left to buy is a crappy gift card from the gas station. At an absolute minimum, if they were not going to keep him, this should have been handled far far better, in the off season.
