That goal will live in my memory for the rest of my life, as will the game which is the best game I have ever witnessed live.
Thanks for everything Nick, true professional, super nice guy, good luck with your future.

Sad to see Nick go, too bad he had the 2 MCL injuries, really seemed to set his development back, I still think he ends up being a decent MLS level CB.

    Hope he does well Cinci

He could not be a nicer guy. I hope he enjoys going home. As for the player, boy was he clutch with his head and average with his feet. We will miss you Nick.

We'll miss you Nick, and especially the aerial presence!

I felt his development was really stunted by his multiple injuries. His ball handling was starting to get better before he went down with different issues. I hope he gets things back on track. Nicest guy you could ever imagine. Good luck in Cincinnati, for 32 games in the season!

Best header on the team , of course that was never utilized by Mr Vanney , but so happy you’re going home Mr. Class . You got away just in time .

That two-game series, that chant, leading to that goal... If it was a movie you'd say a bit overwrought... Epic!

I tell ya, knowing the type of person he is, and the context, both then and now, you can't watch this, as a supporter, without fighting tears.

    All the best, Haggs.

He had a couple of other late headers in big situations too. Like this one

I had the pleasure of being at Nick's MLS debut, the Reds 2-0 victory at Columbus. His parents Stu and Sue joined us at the Three Legged Mare for the pre-game get together. As they walked in, the chant "There Is Only One Nick Hagglund" broke out. What a memorable day. This is a pic his dad took.

Something seems wrong with the view count on this video.
It says it's just over 5,700
Yet I know I have singlehandedly watched it at least 7,000 times in the past couple years.

One of the biggest thrills in our history was that goal. jumped like a salmon over everyone and nailed it.

One of the most disheartening moments was when he had that first knee injury. Happened right in front of me and I was screaming for him to not come back on the pitch. it looked bad and I wish he had just headed down the tunnel then. Glad he's back to healthy and getting a chance in a team that can use him well.

Always a red Nick, good luck but for a couple of days a year
