Too North American. I like the two conferences. While Conferences is still a North American thing, which the relative size of North America compared to European nations, it makes much more sense than crazy travel. Maybe two 16 conferences, play everyone twice = 30 games. Maybe some interconference games = 34. Then cross conference playoffs.

They are not stopping at 30. Heck, I'm not even sure they are stopping at 32.

They need to leave some slack, unless this is going to be a NHL-style franchise expansion where every last possible market has been explored, used, left, and re-used in the name of short term dollars.

How else do you plunge your local city of tax dollars for a stadium and other perks if there is nowhere credible to move a franchise?

Because it's a derby and LAFC is good and still new.

Looks like the next game will be in Atlanta.

Martinez with a nice strike for the two goal lead in the Atl-philly match.

Nothing about this game scares me except that moment. TFC is almost guaranteed to give him one chance like that, and ATL is showing that they don't really need to be on the ball much to have joy. Philly isn't on our level though. ATL defense hasn't really been tested.

While I didn't pay nearly as much attention to this game, I feel as though the Revs gave them a harder time.

That whole sequence, the pass from Pity, that was beautiful. You can never be ball watching against the best teams.

This year’s playoff has been a good showcase for the MLS. Most of the games have been close entertaining matches. The remaining games will all be held in stadiums with great fan support and atmosphere that should show really well on tv.

So Seattle Sounders should get the 5th spot from MLS in Concacaf champions league if LAFC holds on for the win tonight.

LAFC and Atlanta have already qualified and TFC can't qualify for champions league by winning MLS CUP. So Seattle would get the last spot unless Galaxy can find a way to pull through in the last 45

Bad back pass to the CB from beitashour followed by a terrible gaff by the keeper on zlatan’s weak shot.

That 4th goal I didn't even see because of the smoke.

I really can't see their scoring chances, let alone their keeper. That has to change.

This game sums up perfectly why MLS teams would be usually midgets in the international arena (except CONCACAF).
The best MLS teams have average level Premier League forwards/strikers and average to bottom level Championship defenders.

    I missed that.

Bob Bradley did not like that vela question in the interview. Seemed like the reporter knew it would strike a cord with him.
