A lot has changed since those dark days. That was when I first joined this board because I simply couldn't keep watching and not feel like I had to do something, anything, to quell my frustration at the direction the club was going, even if it was just to vent. The last 24 hours has reminded me of how the board used to be (where *is* Roogsy these days?) but at least now we have some good memories to temper our reactions at times like these.
Very peak TFC getting it handed to us by the old guy, haha.
You know, if someone had told me going in this was a rebuilding year i’d have been fine with it. Problem is it was framed as going after silverware and the sudden letdown has been dramatic.
Will take some time to shake this hangover feeling. Curtis and Manning could do themselves some real favours here clearing the air about their plans.
Prediction: Pozo is announced tomorrow after the Slavia Prague - Genk game.
“What the world needs is more geniuses with humility; there are so few of us left.”
If I were Curtis & Manning, I would have let Genk know yesterday they are planning to go off today to see another match.
Some stats from the game last Tuesday (from the comments under the MLS Soccer game recap):
1) Michael Bradley made no tackles and no interceptions.
2) Toronto FC had no shots on target.
3) Terence Boyd had one shot: the penalty that he missed.
4) Osorio, Delgado, Morrow, and Dorsey (the attacking midfielders) combined for six unsuccessful dribbles, zero completed take-ons, and zero key passes inside the penalty area.
