Sigh it was nice to dream about winning CCL, I guess we're going to have to wait a few more years.

Money talks for Seba like most other individuals. I’d like to think that if I was in the same position I wouldn’t have agreed to a move to Saudi Arabia because of my moral’s and out of respect for my wife and daughter. But I never will be and so I can’t relate.

I will continue to follow seba to see how things are playing out for him.

On another note, not that this should be expected but his quote on the official article was very underwhelming. A quick thanks and I’m off. Only reason I state that is because of seeing others like Hagglund and even VDW.

Well, it makes me now wonder if he was also part of the off-field distractions that affected the team. I am gutted he is gone, but he may also have contributed to some of the problems, time will tell, I want to be wrong, but can't turn the blind eye yet...

Similar statement to vdw regarding desire to win. Pretty damning for the FO imo.

Yikes. Says he'd have taken less to stay.

Man, I don't know about this now. The front office might need to do some explaining about what is going on.

It really just depends on what we were offering and what Giovinco means by "less".

Were we offering $4.5 million and he wanted $6 million?

Or were we low-balling him at $1 million and he wanted $4 million?

He has a case if it's the latter, I'm not sure he does with the former.

Sad night. He was, is, and will always be the GOAT of this team and I argue, the GOAT of this league.

    *****************

The very good player in his prime from a top team indicates to me that TFC has as much as signed the replacement already. Prime sounds like 25-28, not Larin's age.

He said they didn't exercise the club option? If that is true, that is terrible management.

I don't believe him. You don't go to Saudi Arabia unless it's about money. If it's true what he says then MLSE have truly killed soccer in this city.

I wonder what they have up their sleeves given the allocation order trade.

from what i am understanding they have a DP in the works and the allocation order. They definitely need 2 players, a DP and a TAM

Fuck that they're just playing games. It's gonna be Hutchinson or Larin or someone from USMNT.

If it's someone prime like Seba 2015 then I'll eat my socks. But I can't believe it when its obvious they want to go cheap.

personally i really don't give a flying f@$K - MLSE can shut the F up - Seba should have retired in Toronto and helped to build a legacy.

That means more than the immediate ROI unless MLSE didn't believe in the long-term project - PERIOD

    I'm so disappointed...

How long has TFC been the highest payroll team in MLS? 3-4 years??

You can’t say MLsE hasn’t done shit all they’ve bankrolled a winner here for years now. You can still have competitive teams at lower salaries and have pretty decent players. Portland, NYRB for instance.

It sucks to lose Giovinco but it is what it is now. If I hear comments from Bradley saying he doesn’t believe in the vision of the ownership group that’s when I’ll be truly worried. I say that because he is the consummate professional on this team.

It was a mutual option, club and player. He's saying he didn't agree to exercise his option. Understandable as he'd want to secure his future.

I'll repeat, it's a downright shame it ends this way. Should have been a happy goodbye instead of everyone airing their dirty laundry like this.
