Grain of salt and all that
I wouldn't even rule out that we are trying to get Parkhurst and Gonzalez/Miazga both. Parkhurst is up there in age and is in a similar mold to Moor as a back line organizer, methodical kind of defender. He could split time with Moor while a guy like Gonzalez or Miazga is out there almost every match.
We need youth and quality, I'd pass on Parkhurst
The highest raise we can give Parkhurst wouldn't make him a TAM player so you'd have to think that moving him would necessitate shifting a sizable salary (Moor or Zavaleta).
Brief Twitter search shows Atlas fans aren't happy at all (to put it lightly) with Omar Gonzalez. Is this really the kind of signing we want to make? A guy who can't cut it for a mid-table Liga MX side is going to be our go-to guy against the best of that league?
Seems like lazy scouting if we're really after him.
Edit: Scratch the mid-table part. Atlas is sitting one from bottom in Liga MX.
Matt Miazga is the best player named here so far. One can hope.

SKC signed another international CB yesterday so Ike Opara should be even more available via trade if we wanted to target him.
Vermes just fleeced Brad Friedal - Bez ain't such a push over.
I suspect Opara doesn't move until February. .
Can someone explain to me where this idea that Vermes fleeced Colorado is coming from? Rubio is a hell of a player, his last 18 months have been elite stuff. Since when is Kelyn Rowe so valuable?

Wholeheartedly agree with this. Kellyn Rowe is a prime example of an MLSer who was romanticized as a hot prospect at an elevated age; showing promise at 22 is frankly late in the soccer world. A 27 year old Kellyn Rowe is a sobering thought when you consider this deal. I wouldn't say that anyone was fleeced in this transaction.
Utility guys you can find (eg Deleon). But a non DP striker with a decent strike rate is a very, very valuable asset. When we were talking about Urruti, Rubio is the guy I was dreaming about.
Unless there is a big unknown contract issue, I'd take Colorado's side of the deal in a flash.

Considering Colorado was likely not keeping Castillo as he is 32 as well. So they reality spent some cash and upgraded at a need they really needed.
Honestly if anyone got fleeced it was the Revs.

So do any names stick out to anyone that TFC might pick up as part of the expansion draft? David Villa on TAM comes to mind...
Rubio in last year of contract likely due for a raise that KC likely would not pay gone for a player that they long coveted who will fit their system and likely thrive in plus cash. It looks like a win for KC in my eyes although Rubio is not a bad get for Colorado but he is in a worse squad there than he was in KC so likely not to perform at current pace. How the Revs end up with the least appealing player and no Garber bucks is mind boggling.
