This Genk defense is brutal, brutal, brutal,
It was the same with Brugge, now it's even worst.

TFC has a better defense, lol...

Make that 4:1 to Slavia Prague now, Genk are having their own CCL/EL meltdown.

Despite the score, what's the review on Poz performance?

Getting blasted like this could help. Pozo will be villified.

The papers there have had nothing but Pozo drama stories all week. He will be seen as having distracted the team.

If this means Genk will now take 8M, sure, TFC will do it.

He’s not the reason they’re getting destroyed, but Genk have barely had the ball in the second half. Slow, awful defending, awful on set pieces, awful goalkeeping. It looks like a lot of Genk’s attack if not all of it goes through Pozo.

    Not much to see...
But the whole team was shite the last 2 games.

Based on what he's done Sunday with Brugge, and in this one, no way in hell he's worth more than a $1 million salary per year.
But of course he was playing better all year long like now...

He was semi at fault on the 4th goal. The guy on a corner free in the box was unforgivable by the defence & that's not on him - but the header was sent to the post that Pozuelo had taken 2 steps forward from - not sure he would have gotten it but he could have least jumped for it if he had stayed back.

He’s not tracking back much and seems to be frustrated with his teammates (misplaced passes and throwing his hands up). He’s also not an easy guy to get off the ball. Genk has been really bad this game though...

There is dreadful, brutal, horrific and abysmal ... all 4 ways to describe Genk at home vs a much poorer quality side in Slavia

If TFC performs like this in the 2nd leg Bradley should be stripped of his captaincy and Vanney should be booted

Poz with his tail between his legs should be on the next plane out of Belgium and at the Money mart cashing his MLSE cheque

Not watching that game. Is this Poz player a potential striker or attacking midfielder? And, why do we want him?

Creative central mid. We want him because he can hit defense spitting passes unlike any midfielder in MLS. Similar to Vazquez but with better tackling and the ability to shoot from distance.

Good, that is a start. But if he is signed, do we need so many avg midfielders on this team (Delgado, Endoah, Chapman)...a proven striker would be nice.

If Pozeulo comes, and we go with the 4-3-3, Delgado sits or is traded.

To me, Chapman is Osorio's B team replacement in this scheme, while Endoh is competing with Dorsey to be the sub on the wide right.

The scuttlebut is a TAM left sided attacker/winger.

I like both Telfer and Endoh but those guys cant be your starting wingers plus Bradley needs help defending. I dont see how a 4-3-3 would work unless they signed 3 more players at the minimum.

    They should play a 4-2-3-1

    Auro-Ciman-Mavinga-Morrow
Fraser (or sign a DM)- Bradley
    Deleon-Pozuelo-Osorio
    Jozy

So listened to the pravda podcast today to see what the party line was with regards to Tuesday and Dunfield dropped and interesting story...

Dunfield and head scout Jack Todd spent 12 days with River Plate during the offseason. TFC have a permanent scout in Argentina who used to work for River Plate.

That is where this is going if they sign Pozo. I think it's Delgado at DM though.

A lot of fanfare when Boyd was signed. None of you have included him as a starter?

I would still consider Bradley as our number 1 DM unless you are suggesting Delgado has a 2nd DM? And if we are going with 2 DM’s then Fraser may not be a bad option either.
I also would not discount Moor at this stage, his organization and leadership is huge and I think he makes a good pair with Mavinga.
Not suggesting Ciman should be ditched however he didn’t fill me with a whole lot of confidence the other night. He is very comfortable on the ball and his passing is very good but on the defensive side of things I think I would choose a fit Moor over him. And I actually think Moor is pretty comfortable on the ball and not a bad passer too despite some of the comments to the contrary that I have read from others.

Fanfare? Who didn’t say he was the replacement for Ricketts?

I hope he is a reliable sub. Ricketts lost his touch last year.

Pretty sure they signed him as Jozy’s back up not as a starter and there definitely wasn’t any fanfare with him
